Place loose leaf tea (recommended) or tea bag(s) into the Brew Core. The pitcher is designed to hold 14 cups of water and 6 tablespoons of loose tea with the core in place. Adjust to taste; for stronger flavor add more tea as desired.

Step 2

For hot brewing, use water at 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow water from kettle to stop boiling and settle at least 30 seconds before pouring into pitcher. Lid must remain off for a minimum of 3 minutes while brewing to allow steam to escape. Brew for 3-5 minutes, to taste.

Step 3

Remove the Brew Core and enjoy perfectly brewed tea.

Step 1

Place loose leaf tea (recommended) or tea bag(s) directly into Brew Core. The pitcher is designed to hold 14 cups of water and 12 tablespoons of loose tea with the core in place.

Step 2

Insert Brew Core inside pitcher and slowly pour water into the Brew Core to fill the remainder of the pitcher with water to cover leaves or up to the top of the windows in the core.

Answer:	1500W is another way to measure amps 1000w is about 10AMP S0 1500W = OR rounds 15AMPS So should work good directly on to the wall what I wouldn't recommend is do never upgrade the braker to a higher number than the electric lines are made to support ex if a 12G cable it's being factory made to it's 20 AMP HIGHEST capacity. Then I will use a 15 AMP BREAKER for regular use and higher safety or as the wire indicates the highest supported amperage that's the highest supported braker amperage that should be used. Wherever it's ok or not, most of people uses cord extensions to connect to. Which is highly risk of fire due to the high electrical flow consumed by electric heaters. Answer:	You can, but if the grounds are really fine some will get through the filter and into the water. Just use another filter when pouring and it should remove the grit.

Answer:	It's really not needed. I own a K575, which has a touch screen, and I think that this is much simpler. Plus no touchscreen to dirty up with fingerprints. This machine is simpler, and I believe that's one of its selling points. Should one really need to be choose a wallpaper for the screen of their coffee maker too? On the other hand, if you want to be able to tell the time by looking at your coffee maker, something you can easily do with several of the Keurig 2.0 machines, though the K-Elite has a digital time display, it can only be viewed by looking down on the machine from above. So if that's important to you this machine might not be a good choice.

Answer:	Yes! This new Keurig machine is not a "2.0" Keurig. It does not have any DRM to prevent you from using whatever k-cup you desire. This machine is very reminiscent of the older Breville BKC700XL machine, except it provides separate button for each cup size plus it has options for "iced coffee", strong brew, and high-altitude brew.

Answer:	I own both of he machines you're asking about. Differences are: The K575 is a "Keurig 2.0" machine, so it uses an optical detector to prevent you from using non-licensed k-cups. The K575 has a larger reservoir. The K575 has the ability to us the Keurig carafe, as well as the larger pods (which sounds like an advantage, but good luck finding those larger k-cup pods anywhere except the web). The K575 has a color digital display. The K-Elite has a high-altitude brew setting, is a much simpler machine, and seems to be built rock-solid. Of the two machines, I much prefer the K-Elite. It is smaller and a little more quiet than the K575. Plus without the DRM stuff it's simpler internally. In my opinion it is probably the best Keurig machine for home use built to date. And if you shop around you may be able to buy this unit for as low as $125, much less than I've ever seen the K575.

Question:	I received my tea maker today and the indicator light won't turn on, but the base gets hot, anyone else have this issue
Answer:	It probably works. The light on mine does work, but it's gotta be in a dark corner for me to see it on. In any case, unplug it after it's done working, after 10-12 minutes or so. To better steep tea in this device, bend two jumbo paper clips so they lie flat in the tea bucket but stick down through the little hole 1/2 inch or so. This enables hot water to back up in the tea bucket, and tea bags actually steep. Otherwise, the hole is too large so the hot water runs out quickly, wetting the tea bags but not really steeping them. With this "hack", she's a great tea-maker that takes up minimal counter space.

Question:	Why does the machine leaks when in use
Answer:	Not sure why yours leaks. Mine does not. Possibly you are overfilling past the "fill" lines? Also, be sure you put the lid on the glass carafe before putting it on the machine. I did not do that the first time and I had water all over.
Question:	Anybody break their pitcher yet
Answer:	I do like that it's glass though and not plastic due to allergies and cleanliness, so it's worth it to me even if it breaks and I have to replace it.
Question:	Does it have a separate filter or compartment to add sugar/sweetener? Where do you put the sugar
Answer:	Denise, it does not have a separate compartment for sweeteners. I add sugar or flavored syrup on top of the ice, stir when brewing stops.I love this tea maker. Best one I've ever had. Makes wonderful clean tasting tea. Be gentle with the carafe, it's fragile. I handwash mine.
Question:	why does the ad state 'machine only'? is the glass pitcher included in the price
Answer:	Maybe it is used and since the glass pitcher is the thinnest of thin and breaks when you put ice in it, maybe their cheap "glass" pitcher is broken and unavailable like mine.

Question:	How long is the warranty on this coffee maker
Answer:	This model does not have built in grinder.
Question:	Does this coffee maker have a “shower head” that soaks the grounds first
Answer:	No. There is no warming feature. The stainless steel carafe keeps the coffee hot for a long time, but when the carafe is sitting on your counter it makes a strange noise, releasing pressure.
Question:	can you use this to just dispense hot water? for cocoa and such
Answer:	It will brew out all the water in the reservoir and require refilling. The insulated carafe keeps coffee warm.
