User questions & answers
Question: | can i use my kcup adapters |
Answer: | Try the ekoBrew and EZ-Cup brands. Bunn told me they were used during the product design. |
Question: | Can this serve hot water |
Answer: | I wouldn't call it quiet. Because it is a machine designed for commercial use it has solenoids that "clunk" & the pump is somewhat loud, but it makes a better cup of coffee than the Keurig. It defaults to a 200 degree brew temp & you can adjust cup size in 1/2oz increments. No timer, so we plug it into a $6 appliance timer. We're happy with it. |
Question: | We have one of these at work, and it's fine for prepackaged k-cups, but I have not found any reusable cups that will fit it. Any suggestions |
Answer: | I'm not sure I totally understand the question. There is a reusable pod holder that comes with the machine. The reusable pod holder is where you place your coffee pod for brewing. After I brew a cup of coffee I throw away the coffee pod. I hope this information helps. |
Question: | Is this maker quiet? My Keurig wasnt |
Answer: | I think there is an 800 number for Bunn. I've called many times in the past. Probably check online at their website. |

Question: | Is it made in the USA |
Answer: | Yes, an installation kit is provided. I'm not 100% certain on the pressure regulator, but our maintenance crew installed it with the kit that was included and the machine works great. |
Question: | Can this model be directly plumbed into a water line |
Answer: | Yes, it does; however, note that not all reusable cups work with this machine. |
Question: | Is there a installation kit with backflow protector, shutoff, pressure regulator and shock protector |
Answer: | this is k-cup style. for pod style please look at 42300.0000 |
Question: | Does this work with K-cups |
Answer: | Yes, it does. |
Question: | What coffee pods does it use, can I use Baronet, (soft pods)? I don't want to have to use the k-cup style |
Answer: | The only plastic touching water is the water pitcher that comes with the pot you use to measure water and pour in to the pot. |
Question: | Does this model have a nsf certification for commercial purpose |
Answer: | Glass pots do not come with this coffee maker. We already had two coffee pots and that's why I ordered a coffee maker that did not include the pots. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is there a reusable pod for this machine |
Answer: | Hi Virginia, no they do not. This machine is for the flat, disc shaped pods . Example refillable pods: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004TSOAO6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Or ready-made: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00APCSB9U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |
Question: | I need replacement parts, where can I purchase them? Dan O |
Answer: | Amazon has lots of coffee pods for this. I personally like the Baronet Pods, but there are lots to choose from in the "Single-Serve Pod" category. With the "Subscribe and Save" discount, they work out to about $0.35-$0.40 each. |
Question: | Do kerig pods fit this machine |
Answer: | Just FYI. BPA free is great.... but it's worth knowing what's being used in it's place. |
Question: | Where do I get coffee for this unit the keurigs cup will not work |
Answer: | Actually, I pour the first 16 ounces through the infuser, over the grounds. I like to "bloom" the grounds first. I just hold the infuser in the pitcher, and pour the water with my other hand. Then I add the second 16 ounces, and add the infuser. The 32 ounces only fills the pitcher 3/4 full. It leaves enough room for water displacement when the infuser is added. |

Question: | Does this work with K-cups |
Answer: | I am replying to another who stated that in the 60's which is not 100% accurate. It started before (and I recall during the 50's some toys) but as the information below shows ONLY with regard to certain items. I lived in Japan in 1979 and long prior - after WWII their production even with regard to lower priced items had drastically changed. In Tokyo there is an entire section (with blazing neon signs) of electronic stores. I bought a Walkman (before it hit America) and it lasted almost 20 years. Even that has changed as Japan did not realize the "digital age". Now other countries such as S. Korea, S. Vietnam are producing products (note the tag on some of your clothing items - made in S. Vietnam. China even outsources to these countries. Long ago when I worked in NYC's garment industry (80's), at certain stages the product would be shipped to China and x done then it was shipped back to the company to be finished. Inexpensive labor. I check the label's now as I don't agree with the stance of the treatment of it's citizens in China. ------------Even before the war the Japanese had achieved competitive and even superior quality in certain areas. It was just that their priorities were far different from ours in the West. At the outbreak of World War II, there were three levels of quality in Japan. At the low end, prewar consumer exports were wretched. They became the basis for Japan's reputation as a producer of shoddy goods. Instead, the Japanese had harnessed most of their capital and their best managers, engineers and materials to the country's imperial ambitions. Military hardware, the second level of Japanese quality, was quite competitive with that of the Western powers. At the top of the quality, pyramid was the ancient Japanese tradition of fine craftsmanship in handmade goods.----------- |
Question: | What coffee pods does it use, can I use Baronet, (soft pods)? I don't want to have to use the k-cup style |
Answer: | About 3 lbs. including the power cord. |
Question: | Does this model have a nsf certification for commercial purpose |
Answer: | 5 speed options; slide control easily shifts speeds with a single touch |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this turn on/off through Alexa ? Is it possible |
Answer: | No. The power switch is on the side of the device, and it isn't communique possible. It needs to be pressed each time it's powered off to activate it. Merely using a smart plug won't work well enough, as just giving power to the cord isn't enough to turn it on. It still needs the power switch activated to turn on. |
Question: | Does it accept typical round pods |
Answer: | yes, it uses standard K-cups that you can buy anywhere. But there's an added bonus; the reusable plastic coffee holder and mesh wire basket. I like fresh ground coffee without the coloring the add to the K-cups. So I grind my own coffee and fill the little wire mesh basket about 3/4 full (a little over 2 tablespoons of ground coffee) and brew a 10 oz cup. It is WONDERFUL and using your own ground coffee is less that half of the cost of buying K-cup pods. |
Question: | Anyone else have this start making loud noises when brewing? If so, do you know how to fix it |
Answer: | : just received this coffee maker 1/7/2020. YES, it is very loud when brewing, wakes my husband up. My previous machine, a Keurig K250, never made this loud of a noise, even after having it over 6 years. That being said, I do like the machine so far. Was easy to program/set up. I have contacted Cuisinart, after numerous suggestions from them to fix the problem, they are sending a replacement and I am returning this one at no expense to me. |
Question: | Can non-Keurig pods be used in this unit |
Answer: | Yes, I have not had any problems using non-keurig pods. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it bpa free? where is it made |
Answer: | It is both the pot and spill free topper. |
Question: | can I use it with 220v |
Answer: | The one I bought and is currently plugged into my kitchen counter wall is 110 volts. If you'll go to the Bunn website and download the VP17 Operating and Service Manual, on Page 4 of the electrical requirements, it says "The brewer has an attached cordset and requires 2-wire grounded service rated 120 volts ac, 15 amp, single phase, 60 Hz." Is that enough information? |
Question: | My current bunn is on its last legs. Does any one know if the older style coffee baskets will work with this pot |
Answer: | You can use The Bunn 12 cup glass decanter or the Bunn 6100 decanter. Both decanters comes in either a black or orange handle. I have the Bunn 6100 decanter and I am very satisfied with it. |
Question: | Does it have a reusable metal filter |
Answer: | There will not be any steam coming out of the top as this a commercial model. Keep in mind that you will have to have enough counter space for the front to have 4 inches of clearance for the pour through flap on top front to open. This unit keeps the water hot all the time and the thermostat cycles the heating elements on and off to maintain the tempature of the water to make coffee or tea on demand. The upper portion of the stainless steel cabinet will average 90-100 Degrees Farenheight. This is easy to maintain and will outlast any home models. |

The Scoop Single-Serve Coffee Maker
The Scoop Single-Serve Coffeemaker goes where no coffeemaker has gone before, brewing hotter, faster and better-tasting coffee than most gourmet machines out there. And, its benefits don’t stop there. The Scoop Coffeemaker utilizes the simplicity of ground coffee and brews a customizable cup quickly: an 8 oz. cup in less than 90 seconds or a 14 oz. travel mug in under two-and-a-half minutes.
1) Scoop
2) Place
3) Brew
Differing Boldness Levels
With The Scoop Coffeemaker, versatility is key. Whether you decide to go with a mainstream brand coffee or stronger premium-brand coffee, you need a machine that understands and quickly adapts. Use the REGULAR setting for a quick basic, automatic drip coffee, or get an upgrade and choose BOLD for more fine grinds, decaf or stronger flavors.
Measuring Proportions Appropriately
Not sure how much coffee to add when brewing? No worries — each scoop filter is labeled with two measuring lines for exact serving amounts. And more isn’t necessarily better, in this case. Overfilling the scoop doesn’t allow room for brewing and water can overflow and spill over, ultimately meaning weaker coffee.
Adjusting the Cup Size
Before brewing, adjust the L-shaped cup rest to make sure your cup is as close to the dispensing nozzle as possible. For travel mugs, fit the cup rest against the coffeemaker and place your mug on top of the drip tray.

User questions & answers
Question: | Where do we buy a space saver coffee machine |
Answer: | Allegedly 10 cups, but those are the standard, “5 ounce cups” coffee maker manufacturers use that have no resemblance to the size of coffee mugs people really drink out of. In reality, we get exactly 5 real-world cups of coffee out of a full pot with this machine. |
Question: | This question is for the high altitude coffee maker only; what is the rating in watts for the high altitude unit |
Answer: | Made in the USA. It appears that most models are built in the USA except the CSB1 Model. From the Website BTW. So, spend the extra $20 to support America manufacturing. |
Question: | How many cups does make |
Answer: | If you are talking about the reusable, fill able coffee ground adapters, then yes, it'll fit. |
Question: | Is the csb2 speed brew model made in the usa? nhs i believe in made in china and they lump these together |
Answer: | Yes, do not put a coffee pod in and it will dispense just water |

User questions & answers
Question: | How long does it take to brew a 12 cup pot |
Answer: | No, you pour the water in. Bunn does make them that way if you need the convenience. However, with one that has a water supply you always have to make a full pot every time. With the kind you pour water into yourself, you can make one cup to a full pot depending on how much water you put in. |
Question: | What size are the paper filters? Cant find them in stores |
Answer: | No, both decanters have black handles. We found this out the hard way - had to order one with the orange handle to use for decaf |
Question: | do i connect with hot water |
Answer: | Probably about 24 inches in height. We use this pot st a small business. Don't forget, you have to buy the carafe separate. It is not included with maker. |
Question: | Does one decanter have an orange handle |
Answer: | You must leave it plugged in at all times. It has a tank in it where it keeps the water hot, all the time. If you unplug it, plug it in, and then try to make coffee right away, you will have cold coffee. |

Question: | Does it use any brand single serve pod |
Answer: | I found a made in China sticker displayed on the bottom of the carafe. The box proudly says designed and assembled in the US. Weasel wordsmithing. |
Question: | Dimensions are 11.8 x 12.9 x 16.6 inches - but is that HxWxD or something else |
Answer: | Absolutely, but the minimum they recommend is 24 oz which is 1/2 a pot. This is typically what I brew each morning. Fills a good size travel mug with just a bit left over. |
Question: | Which gold filter does ss-15 12-cup coffee maker and single-serve brewer use the flat or the cone shaped filter |
Answer: | I had concerns about how much power it consumed, put ours on a timer, keeping the water hot for a few hours a day, in the morning when we make our one pot of coffee for the day. |
Question: | Does the reservoir function to fill the single serve, or do you have to pour water in each time you use it to make a cup? Thank you |
Answer: | I bought mine in November 2018. The first time I plugged it in and made the first test run, there was only a slight plastic burning smell. Afterward, there was no smell. |

Either way, you should be able to order a replacement lid for your unit. Hope this answers your question. |
