Answer: If you have a really nice toaster oven like a Breville or similar, then this will not compare. If you have a cheap toaster oven (around this price point), then this is less likely to burn or make the food very uneven (at least based on my experience) It is not any faster. The advantage for me is it cooks Pizza including French Bread version without needing to warm up the big oven. It does not need to preheat. So depending on your needs it is a great device, for us it is 1 device for most of what we would do in the oven. I hope this helps

Answer: That an outlet draws No Power is a misconception. All special outlets including those multiple outlets with Surge Protection draw power. Even an unused charger for your phone (plugged-in but not being used) draws power. The power draw is minimal, but if you have a dozen plugged-in in your home, that ads up over time. You'd have to use a Milli-amp multimeter or call the manufacturer. Usually those things are not advertised. If you have a multimeter, place the leads between (in Series) on either line, but not on both lines at same time, that would measure the volts.

Answer: My best pizza to date on this oven was a margarita at a 625 temp and on for about 6 or 7 minutes. The higher temps are OK if you only have one topping or so, but I felt I had more control with the lower temp, especially what making a combo pizza. Hope this helps.

Answer: You are right. The dimensions given are outside packaging dimensions, no the actual products OD. The products OD are 25 3/4w x 14 3/4d x 15"h approx. The stone is 20 x 13. When they say this item can reach 750/800 degrees in 15 minutes they ain't lying. I make perfectly done pizza in 3minutes or less. Read the start up institute tions very carefully as the stone is very fragile and susceptible to cracking from changing temps to fast. A week ago I ordered another one to gift to my brother in Michigan and was put on a waiting list. Good luck
Question: I have uses my pizza over twice and both times the pizzas are black and burnt on the bottom even after turning down the heat the second use. ideas
Answer: With all the energy coming from below the stone and then radiating upwards the difference between the two locations can be as much a 200°. Get a lasar temp guage and learn your oven. Now to solve the problem, get the stone hot ( put on high) then turn down to medium . Put your pizza in directly on stone until bottom is tan/brown. Then put a pizza pan under the pizza upside down to keep the pizza off the hot stone and finish cooking the top of the pizza. It takes a little experimenting to get it right but when you do this oven is better than a wood burning oven. What else would let u go from room temp to 750° in 15 minutes. Enjoy. I do most every night.

Question: What is the recommended pronane gas cylinder size for outdoor usage and how long it lasts (how many pizzas can be made with it
Answer: I’ve done 4-6 pizzas on four different occasions and haven’t run out on a standard 20 lbs propane tank (the one at Home Depot and others that runs about $20 for a refill and exchange). I also use the same tank to grill meat on a 3 burner Weber and disconnect the hose. The Ooni is pretty small and get very hot so each pizza shouldn’t be in the oven for more than 2 minutes. Doubt the propane supply will give you trouble.
Question: how does premade pizza dough work? Thinking of using pastorelli pizza dough for ease at a tailgate
Answer: I prefer making my own dough, but when doing large events or short notice pizza parties I have to buy pre-made dough. I have used dough from Trader Joe's and Publix and both have worked well. I recommend taking the dough from the bag and cutting them up into smaller amounts (I like 250 gram) and cover with flour then roll into balls. Then put those balls into tupperware containers, cover with a cloth, and let them sit for at least an hour. They will be way easier to manage at that point - even easier if you leave them in 4+ hours.
Question: Can you use it indoor
Answer: No, it is powered by liquid propane and achieves temperatures of 900 degrees Fahrenheit. Strictly an outdoor pizza oven.
Question: What do you need to go with this or is it all in the box
Answer: You will need a propane tank with propane and a pizza peel or something to take the pizza out with. The peel needs to be 12" wide.

Answer: I use the gas burner attachment and the wood-chip grate made for the gas burner. The chips have no choice but to fire up.
Question: Does anybody now the best way to clean it
Answer: I bought a long-handled razor-blade scraper. Works great on the stone. I then pull the ash-basket out (you have to loosen the propane burner first and remove it - I keep an allen-wrench nearby to do that.) I've then, alternately, just picked the unit up and shook the rest out, or used our leaf-blower to remove any ash or whatever.
Question: does it come with everything necesarry to use wood pellets or do I need to purchase separate
Answer: If you're going to use wood, or wood pellets, it comes with "everything" you need to fire it up. IF you want to use propane, it's an extra $100 (99) for the propane attachment (with the hose and igniter and burner). IF you want to use BOTH propane and wood, you also need to switch out the wood grate that comes with the unit and get the wood grate for use with propane $35 - that's what we bought and it works great. Answer: There is an adaptor available to connect the oven to a 30-lb. propane tank rather than the small bottles but there is no adapter to connect it to something like an indoor gas line like you would use for a gas stove.

Answer: I have played with this oven extensively. I put two quick response thermocouples into the device temporarily to evaluate. One was below the stone, above the heath deflector. With the other, I loosened the temp gauge screw on the top and secured it to the bolt and nut on the inside and let it hang down about an inch. Running the oven 'inside' in a 70 degree, no wind environment, you can get to just about 500 above the pizza stone after around 15 minutes. If you add a veil of aluminum foil to the front opening, you can get to 650, but the flame seems to struggle a bit. This does improve the quality of the cooking, however. Keep in mind that the entire oven has little thermal mass and cools quickly with opening.
Question: Reviewers, some of you note "not hot enough"..did you actually check temps using infrared meter? If so, what's the avg temps achievable in this grill

Keep in mind that the entire oven has little thermal mass and cools quickly with opening."But, to answer your question further, I did use an infrared pyrometer to spot check things and it was consistent with the thermocouples.You can get up to almost 500F after about 10-15 minutes. That was using the device inside (probably not recommended) at 70F ambient. If it is cold outside and especially if it is windy, your temps will be less. Wind really degrades the temp as I tried this one day at 40F near a lake and could not get it above 350F. There is just not much thermal mass to the oven and it is wide open to the cooking surface in the front. I put a veil of foil over the front and it did up the temp by almost 100F but the flame sputters a bit due to reduced air flow and I imagine that this is not 'recommended' but it will get the temp up a bit.I would suggest you try cooking pizza in your oven at 400F on a light weight stone with good preheating and this will roughly simulate the process you will find in the Cuisinart oven.

Answer: The pan is flat with a slight raised edge.

Answer: Used this pan under the broiler to get nice spotting on pizza crust with temp ~520F and the sides started to curl considerably, so would not recommend above 500.
Question: is it safe to use after scratching
Answer: Our nonstick coating is silicone polyester. Question: Will the back surface rust
Answer: No it has Teflon type coating. Just remember to cut the pizza on a board. It will scratch the coating if you do not use a board. It is easier to cut a pizza on a fat surface anyway.
