Answer:	The lower portion is one piece and made of a very heavy plastic material. Since it is one piece it is sometimes difficult to remove just one ice pop. The metal lid positions the sticks in the center of the molds, kind of.

Yes the internal dimensions are W 2"x H 0.75" x L 3.75" Please note that I recently purchased 3x8 poly bags from: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0017T28FS/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I also purchased an impulse bag sealer: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001UGOB8U/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1These two purchases work wonderfully for packaging popsicles. If you are determined to make your own however, I would suggest a 3.5X8 bag, as the sides could be a little wider on my poly bags. Hope this helps!
Question:	is the plastic bpa free
Answer:	"... a conscious effort..." does not equal BPA free. Also, saying that they have two items that they make that are made from polycarbonate, doesn't mean that they ONLY have two items made that way. Corp speak is cryptic on purpose. I can see how you might draw the conclusion that you did, but you must see that you can not say that they definitely have no BPA in them. They did, however, release a statement that said that they would mark all their products as BPA free if it was BPA free, but that was "as of mid-2014", so basically - yesterday. The freezer pop maker isn't listed on their web site, so if it was discontinued, it's certainly pre 2014 and if they're going to re-release it, there may be an indication that there was a reason for having it pulled in the first place. Maybe, people don't like these things so much, so they don't make Progressive money. My bottom line is: if it doesn't say BPA free explicitly on the product, it has it BPA in it. That's because of what else I know about PBA. It isn't only used in polycarbonate. If a corporation gives you a blurb from Wikipedia, that doesn't hold them responsible to divulge any information at all about their contents or processes. They only say what they legally have to say. Legally mandated reporting on this (BPA content) is sketchy because it only became a problem recently and agencies haven't had enough time and cause to react. Wikipedia and other sources will also tell you that if a plastic has the recycle code "7" on it, it may have PBA, not that it will. There's another clue. But again, I go to my bottom line: if it doesn't say that it doesn't have it... it has it. I've been aware of "BPA free" for over 18 months and I can't think of a company that hasn't included it on the label in over a year, which is plenty of time for any manufacturer to react. Progressive isn't acting fishy, they're just doing what corps do.

Answer:	I have never used with ice cream but never had a problem with other ice bars with fruit.Insert the stick after you have frozen the ice cream for a while in the molds this may help.

Answer:	These hold about 1/2 cup of liquid. Make sure you leave enough room for the lid to go on without spilling otherwise you will have a leak when it starts to thaw.

Answer:	Okay, I bought these based on these answers. And they do show white. Maybe you got a different batch than mine. And these are really thin, as thin as the the stuff you buy from the dollar rack at a retail store. I am returning these. Question:	How does this compare with the ice pop molds from Sunsella. Anyone compared both and prefer one over the other
Answer:	I have used both the Norpro and Sunsella brands and find the Sunsella brand to be much better quality. The Norpro silicone is thinner and doesn't seem anywhere near as durable. It also doesn't feel like a full silicone product, it has a "plasticky" feel to it. Possibly not 100% silicone like the Sunsella brand. I also find the lids fit a lot more securely on the Sunsella brand, the Norpro lid is quite flimsy. I also performed the twist test on both products and the Sunsella brand retained it's color however the Norpro brand did not. So I would definitely go for the Sunsella brand! It looks like Sunsella have a special on at the moment and are selling theirs for $7.99 for 6 so work out to be cheaper than Norpro per mold too. Hope that helps!
