Question:	Can I use this for a one year old or will I need to get more mold powder? And if they move will it mess it up
Answer:	The length of the foot casting container is 4.5 inches. If the foot will fit, then the age doesn't matter. Wiggling ok as long as the foot (or hand) stays submerged in the material until it is fully set. The molding material is unique in that it is sticky on the skin while in the pre-set phase then once it is set, it is slippery against the skin and separates cleanly.

Simply place the clay into the center of frame’s backboard, and press with the palm of your hand. Fill the entire space right into the corners. Then use the enclosed roller to smooth it out. No need to rush, your clay will stay soft for a while – take your time to capture the perfect little handprint.

Simply press baby’s hand, or foot into the clay to make your print. Press firmly, splaying the fingers for a handprint, and for a footprint, keep the toes straight.



If you make a mistake, it’s ok! Your long drying clay can be kneaded again for another go!

Allow Your Clay To Harden Well

Allow up to 4 days for your clay to set. Other companies won’t tell you, but results can be heartbreaking – mold, and random fingerprints! No touching, for 4 days.

Then, you’re ready to frame. But first, Baby Pictures! The photo slots are 2.75” x 2.75”, but cut your pictures slightly larger (approx ¼ inch around) so they don’t slip. Affix pictures with the double sided tape included in your kit.

Answer:	I don’t see why not. I did not paint mine. I would seal it with a clear coat when you are done. I am not 100% sure. Give a try.

Question:	I would like to do a three year old and 8 month together. What if they keep moving, will it ruin the mold
Answer:	Well I did a 1 year old and twins that were 4 at the time together. The mold came out good. The thing that I recommend is to have help.. and to have at least the young eat one asleep while doing it. It will make things come out perfectly if both are asleep. No stress or crying at least u will know the mold would come out nice that's what counts.. The rest ( plaster) is all on up to u how the final project comes out.. good luck. - products works fast -

Answer:	Unfortunately not:( from experience, making 25 hands, it is 1 bag of mix per adult hand. I would say it may take 3-4 bags to accomplish what you need. Good luck!
Question:	Can anyone tell me what ratios of water to gel, and water to "stone" to use? We have a kit w/o instructions, and they aren't on the website. Thx
Answer:	The instructions say: - 7 cups COLD water to 1 bag precious gel. Stir until it turns pink,for 20-30 seconds, do not delay, it hardens very fast. Put your hand in it for at least 2 minutes until it hardens and turns white. - stone: set aside 1-2 tb spoons of stone for imperfections later on. Mix 2 1/2 cups cold water to 5 cups stone (1 bag precious stone)Stir slowly until smooth. Fill the mold in small increments with a spoon. Gently tap along the way to bring air bubbles to the surface. Wait 24 hours before taking it out of the mold.
Question:	can this do 2 adults hands clasped together
Answer:	NO... not without your hands touching the sides or bottom. In the middle of it, I had to pull our hands out, pour it into a bigger and deeper container and do it. As it is, there wasn't enough plaster (precious stone) to fill it. Buy 2, use a deeper, larger container. I just wasted $45

Answer:	I did this with a 7 month old and did not have to press that hard. He didn't mind it. You might want two people with the new born and press down each finger individually.

Step 1: Remove one the clay from its packaging, and knead for 1 to 2 minutes until it is soft. Insert the soft clay into the of the frame, and use the wooden stick to create a smooth and flat enough surface. Use the same method to make another clay frame. (When paving the clay, please make it flatten enough. If not it will wrinkle after dry)

Question:	how long does it take to dry
Answer:	The clay will dry to the touch within a day but should be fully dried (takes about 3-5 days) before the glass is put on otherwise the moisture remaining may cause mold to form. The backboard should be left to dry in a place away from direct sun, heat or blowing air.
Question:	What size pictures fit
Answer:	The openings are 2.75" square, but of course you would want a slightly bigger picture to be able to attach to the mat (we supply the double-sided tape). Thanks for your question!

Answer:	Yes, you can add food coloring but I would not suggest it as it will expire. So better to paint the clay when it dries instead. Cassandra Co Little

Knead Clay

Knead clay well for 3-5 minutes this ensures the oils are evenly mixed. Don't put the clay down on any surface because it will pick up dirt and lint.

Fill and Smoothen Clay

Place the round clay ball into the large section of the picture frame. Use the palm of your hand and gently spread out the clay, make sure the clay fills up the entire space even the corners. Use the rolling pin or a mug and gently roll until the surface of the clay is evenly smooth. Make sure there are no minor cracks on the surface.

Handprint and Footprints

Press the baby's hands and feet gently but firmly into the clay and make sure to leave room for the Interior frame/divider. Use a pair of scissors to separate the letter pieces. Assemble the letters to the handle and engrave the baby's name and/or birth date in the clay.

Assembly and Display

Insert 2 cute pictures into the picture frame cut-outs, using the double-sided tape to secure them in place. Assembly the frame and display your baby’s itty-bitty hands and feet with the most adorable photos on the perfect spot that you desire.

Question:	Will this be appropriate for a 1 year old? Not sure if she could hold the pose long enough
Answer:	If you press firmly and hold it until she can't stand it ..you may get a faint mark of a hand. Agree that it's too dry and firm (although very light) to get a good print. I was personally disappointed with the results. I had to purchase self-drying clay (two different types at Walmart) before finding one that captured all the details of adorable little hands (I also did his feet).
Question:	In the picture it shows the footprint bumped out. How is that done with this kit

Question:	I have a 6 & 9 year old. Can I use 1 kit to make a hand impression for them both
Answer:	no. I used 1 kit to make a handprint for my 7 year old with a little plaster left over. There is not enough material for 2 larger handprints. You need a bowl or something to make the circle. The circle cutter included in the kit is not big enough for a 6 or 9 year old's hand. I didn't like the product much but everything else out there is similar. Hope this helps.
Question:	How many kits would i need for a family plaque? Single handprints for 2 adults, a 4yr old, 3yr old and nb
Answer:	Each adult would need their own kit so would your 4yr old. You could split a kit between your 3yr old and NB.

Answer:	I don’t think they sell just the clay unfortunately. But you could go to a Michaels if that’s all you need. Or just buy another kit anyways.

Answer:	They measure 1” long 3/4” wide and 1/4” deep. I guess it depends on the size of cake pop. I'd probably look for something tinier.

Answer:	I only used it for cream cheese mints, but they stuck to the pan so bad I had to throw the entire mold away. But I can say it pretty thin, so I would think it would melt
