Question:	Is this product 18/20 (304) stainless steel
Answer:	My understanding is that 304 is 18/8. I spoke to someone at Norpro and the bakeware items I asked about were either 18/4 or 18/0, both less corrosion-resistant than 18/10 or 18/8. One source said not to cook anything acidic in 18/0 - so you can judge from that. Norpro folks are very helpful if you call.
Question:	I'd like to know if the sides are tapered down or straight sides please
Answer:	there is a slight curve to the sides...NOT straight. one could never use these pans for a 2-3 layer cake. this is not a traditional cake pan for layer cakes (straight sides; bottom and top opening have same measurements. it is a high quality pan, but it is NOT a cake pan.
Question:	I have had other stainless steel baking pans and had trouble with the bottoms not browning. Has anyone had this problem? thank you
Answer:	I had not had that problem. I use this pan for baking cornbread and cakes and they do brown on the bottom. Also the sides are vertical not slanted as so many pans are these days. Hope this helps.

Answer:	When I received the pans I remembered being a little disappointed because they were not made in the US, and the US and one of the Scandinavian countries have the finest steel in the world. However, they are of heavy weight, bake evenly, and clean up well with SOS soap pads. That's all I require and they were the right price too.

I also found that while it is dishwasher safe, some of the coating has chipped away from the wire rack and the back of the pans, but it has not altered the function. I have found that the "normal" round cupcake papers work well and once the cake batter is in them they soften and conform to the shape of the square pan.

Answer:	It's very substantial and quality stainless. It will do fine in any kitchen oven temperature. Stainless melts at 1400 to 1450 Centigrade, which is 2552 F to 2642 F!

Answer:	You would have to cut awfully hard and with a very sharp knife to have this pan scratch. Stainless steel is the only bake wear or pots and pan I use.

Answer:	I just kept rolling it out until the dough fit inside the rings without touching the upper sides. It was more testing over and over until it was right. I only used one pan to find out.

Answer:	Of course, you can. You might have to cook it a bit more or less depending on (1) how much batter you put in; and (2) how hot your oven is. You'd have to experiment. Good luck!
