Answer:	I've always washed my new silicone molds in the dishwasher before the first use if I'm going to use them for food. If I'm using them for soap making, I hand wash them first with hot soapy water twice and spray/wipe them with rubbing alcohol, and don't expose them to anything used for food. The hot water and soap is a must before using them for anything, but if you're asking if they need to be baked or microwaved filled with hot water first, I've never heard of anyone suggesting that. Answer:	On Amazon Web site, it shows on the small pictures on the left side of the horse several possibilities for decorating your horse. They have used the star tip for the main part of the horse, smooth for the harness and drawn out tip for the mane.

Answer:	I just measured one side of the donuts whole to other it about 3 inches. They are a perfect size. I use them all the time.
Question:	I don't understand how the doughnuts come out rounded on top. Do you put a second pan on top? Or do you just fill this like a muffin pan and bake
Answer:	Hi, Book Lover # 52. I made the doughnuts and they came out rounded. I think it's the baking powder or whatever rising ingredients are in your recipe. You don't need a second pan - just fill like a muffin pan. My recipe called for me to fill the holes 2/3 full. They came out really nice.
Question:	Will regular cake mix, Duncan Hines, etc. work with this donut pan
Answer:	You can make cake box donuts and they'll taste like donuts. One box cake mix and two cups applesauce stirred together creates easy baked donut batter. Lightly grease pan and preheat oven. Bake at 425F for 10-15 minutes or until donuts firmly spring back when pressed. Allow to sit in pan for 5 minutes before removing, it helps to have more than one of these pans to cut down on idle time. An easy glaze is to melt store bought frosting in the microwave and then drizzle, dip, or dunk. You can then glaze and add toppings if desired. For best results, add toppings while glaze is still warm.
Question:	are the walls straight up and down or slightly tapered
Answer:	Sorry for the delay in answering your question. I bought a pair of 9" round Wilton Performance Pans in 2011 for my Aunt, who decorates cakes. These were tapered, which is not what she wanted. I looked around a little more and found 9" round Wilton decorator Preferred pans that have straight walls. So you want the decorator Preferred. What size do you need? It seems that Wilton has discontinued the 9" size.

Question:	How much cake batter do you use out of a regular cake box? Also what temp do you cook it at and for how long? Any help will be greatly appreciated
Answer:	If you are using a regular box of cake that you would buy at the supermarket, use half the box. If you are using a smaller box of cake mix, such as Puppy Cake (which I believe is only 6 ounces), then you can use a single box. As far as the temperature to cook the cake at, please follow the box directions. We have used the pan to cook in temperatures as hot as 350 degrees without incident. Please spray pan with cooking spray before pouring in batter for best results. Also, because the pan is blue, it is considered a "dark" pan, so if the box of cake mix has a different cooking time for "dark" pans, please follow those directions. Question:	How does one "bake{ in a silicone pan? I mean...can it be put intp a hot oven? or is it just for microwave use
Answer:	You can absolutely use it in the oven. I've baked my dogs multiple cakes in it plus I've used it to bake other items for my family--cakes, brownies, and even cornbread on Thanksgiving. I have not tried it in the microwave oven, though. Also, make sure you put it in a cookie sheet and DO NOT cut your cake while still in the pan. The silicone material will be cut with a knife. Always take the cake out of the pan after cooking and THEN cut it.
Question:	Can I make a meat mold (similar to a meatloaf) in this pan instead of a dig cake
Answer:	I don't think there would be any problem with making a meatloaf in this dog bone cake pan. I would just place it on a cookie sheet because it is pliable and needs a little support.
Question:	My son wants a Paw Patrol birthday party, would this pan be deep/ big enough for a regular cake
Answer:	This pan makes a cake that is 7X10 inches so it is a smaller cake. More like the size of pie. If he is young and/or having a small birthday, it would be fine. But it definitely doesn't make a big sheet cake like you might get at a bakery. Also, since you mentioned Paw Patrol, might I suggest our Pawsome Doggie dog bone birthday candles?
