Answer:	I see no trace of spandex or latex on mine, the collar itself is made out of soft velour-type fabric. There are two Velcro straps that cross in front and do not touch the skin when attached correctly. The tube and hand pump are made of rubber, similar to the kind on a hot water bottle.

Answer:	You can simply put it back on the metal gauge piece. Shouldn't be a problem.

Answer:	There is no rubber band on this bottle. There is a metal hasp that keeps the lid from popping open, but the snap locking mechanism does a pretty good job of that on it's own. Both of those components are all built into the lid.

Answer:	The way it opens. The new model has a band of rubber that assists the bottle to open. The old style had a rubber stub that would push up. The problem with this new design is that the rubber ring breaks. I have had 2 and neither lasted more than a few weeks. I wash them in the dishwasher, so maybe that was too much for the rubber band to take. The old Intak style lasts and lasts. I still have some of those so I won't be getting a third one of these.
