Answer:	The black plastic item is an extension for the handle that snaps onto it. It works fine without it as well--might just be a little easier with it.
Question:	Received one today, with a warning label that it contains Nickel and Lead. Where are these metals used
Answer:	I just received my Deluxe version of this and it had the same Nickel and Lead disclosure on the box. The discs are definitely Nickel plated (That silver shiny look, not a stainless or aluminum look). Also, lead is sometimes used in nickel plating (quick search reveals this) so if I had to guess the discs also contain lead.
Question:	Are there any Christmas discs with this set
Answer:	Yes, there is a Christmas tree, a wreath and several others
Question:	Is this truly stainless steel? or aluminum? I've seen other models, all made by Mercato, but some say aluminum. I'm confused
Answer:	The answer is both. The parts that touch the dough are all aluminum - the column and the round silver parts that screw on the top and bottom. The lever is stainless steel. I believe the description is pretty misleading. Please note that the leading disc that pushes the dough forward is plastic. This has been the single piece that has broken for us on other cookie presses, rendering them useless. So far, so good with this one, but I was disappointed to see it was plastic.

Question:	Can someone tell me the diameter of the stainless steel discs
Answer:	I have not made fruit pies or cobblers, but it did not react with tomatoes which are also high acid. I have fermented Muscadine grapes, a variety of Scuppernong in a stainless stock pot with no problems. My guess is your old one was not pure stainless. A good stainless steel will not react.
Question:	I have arthritis in my wrist and want to know if anyone thinks this would be easier to use than original presses. Does it eliminate twisting
Answer:	I did not cook my tomatoes before using the mill, and that's exactly what I used it for-- to remove skins and seeds. I dipped the whole tomatoes in scalding water for a minute or two to loosen the skins, but did not cook them.

It says it will hold more than the 12 it comes with, but it is hard to tell from the photos and in the video, it looks like extra disks would just sit between the 'ribs' in the case. Answer:	Hello The bling is 19” long, just the bling area maybe you can cut the ribbon and you can adjust with a safety pin 🧷 This belt is really nice good quality, I hope answer the question.

Answer:	Yes. I wear a size 6 (size 26 jeans) and it’s a loose fit on me in the last hole farthest from the end so it should work for you if belt sizing is consistent.

Answer:	I’m a size 6 and it’s pretty long. I used the very first hole when I got it but it has stretched so now I have to force the hook through the fabric of the belt in front of that hole otherwise it doesn’t fit tight enough.

Answer:	I’m not sure, but you can fit the discs in the original case between the other discs. That’s what I do.
