Answer: | It's completely round. No flat bottom. I just got done using mine a couple of hours ago and seasoning it again about a half an hour ago. (I was stupid and scratched the hell out of it by using a metal spoon in it.) Great wok! But if I were to buy another one I'd make sure to buy the one with wooden handles. (These metal ones get wicked hot.) And I'd spring for the lid to keep the food warm between servings and for steaming vegetables. |

Answer: | cast iron wok requires care, just like any other iron skillet. it cooks faster, uses less oil, and you can control the heat. you can choose 14" if 16" is too big but we have a big family and loves to stir fry noodles...16" wok is perfect for us. We love to cook outdoors using gas...and you can order a ring to set the wok in place. I don't know if this helps...good luck in choosing the perfect wok. I totally recommend it. |

Answer: | You really should get all the facts on ptfe coatings--after 50 years you would think there would be a body of evidence. This does NOT count killing your pet parakeet by burning the ptfe off a pan left unintentionally on the stove! The coating on this particular pan doesn't shed fumes until somewhere north of 500 degrees.
