Answer:	Hello, Thanks for asking this question. The recommended temperature for Vinyl is 275* F/135* C. Leather is more resilient than vinyl so this should be fine. We would recommending testing this on a scrap piece to ensuring it does not damage your piece.

Answer:	If you want a good, reasonably-priced floor steamer, I would recommend a Shark. I've had one for a couple of years now, and I love it! I paid well less than $100 for it; though I don't remember exactly what I paid, I believe it was even less than $50 on sale at a local big box.
Question:	Is it possible to create creases in pants? How
Answer:	I needed to crease napkins so i just laid them on the ironing board and “ironed” therm with the steamer. It worked perfectly. I imagine you would be able to do the same with your pants.

Answer:	Yes, I use a plastic hanger bc the wood can stain your clothing. There is a spot to hang next to where you hook the hose at the top. Love this steamer. Word of warning, do not leave water in it when not in use. After each use, I take the water bucket out and allow it to continue steaming until the water in the machine is gone. This prevents spores from growing and prolongs usage of steamer I believe.

Answer:	As previously mentioned, the metal head acts heats up and can be used as a traditional iron, but for steaming it's bulky (large diameter) and too heavy to hold for any length of time. I exchanged the metal head for the plastic head

Answer:	It could be the water. Mineral content can wreak havoc including staining. I would not fault the press without first changing the source of your water. Give it a shot! Hope it helps.

Locking can only be accomplished manually by lowering the pressing plate down and turning the locking knob to “Lock” position. The press should never be locked until completely cooled down per instructions in the manual.

Answer:	The Singer Intelligent 36T1 Steam Press and other appliances that are made for the US market and purchased from a US vendor such as Amazon are 110/120 volts. In order to use them abroad you most often will need to purchase a transformer. Unfortunately we DO NOT recommend that a transformer be used on electronic/computerized products. It is our experience that when using a transformer there are too many fluctuations in the voltage causing irregular surges. For this reason we cannot guarantee that you will be able to use this press in a country that uses 220/240 volts. You need to be aware that should you connect this press to a transformer and the wiring is damaged, you will be responsible for any parts and labor to repair the machine, as using a transformer voids the warranty. Answer:	I returned this iron because of the terrible steam problems I had. Though I did admit that it could have been defective. I am a Quilter and Fiber Artist and needed to replace my older and much abused Rowenta! I sent this model back and just recieved the Rowenta W9280 Steam Force Steam Iron, 1800-watt and it is wonderful! It was $4 more but vastly more efficient in steam! I ironed 75 freshly washed Fat Quarters in no time flat! Slightly damp painters canvas ironed out in one pass! Ironing silk and rayon flew by in a flash! I'm in love! Oh, I hate the blue color, but I don't buy irons for color! Hope this helps!

Answer:	The bottom line is , you can't. Even when it shuts off automatically, the light will continue to flicker to let you know it is plugged in. You should always unplug irons after you're done using them for safety. High cost irons like this one all shut off automatically. But if they are accidentally moved or shifted they will turn on, hence their flickering light design. They want people to unplug the irons when they are done using them
Question:	Trying to decide which is the best value/performance/reliability between the 5080, 6080, 8080, and 9280...any experience comparing any of these
Answer:	I dont know about the other irons, I have had another Rowenta and I like the DW6080 the best., uses tap water and does not spit or drip drag water on what I am ironing. This is the best iron I have had and used. It is my favorite, very smooth and small tip goes under buttons easily. Really like this iron and for me it got hot enough, most of our ironing is 100% cotton and it does a beautiful job. Hope this helps you....

Answer:	its a turn dial. Its kinda hard to figure out at first (at least it was for me) its on top of the handle and you just try to turn the silver bar...it won't really turn, but you will notice that a light comes on indicating what heat you have set.

James Watt

James Watt – who gives his name to the SI unit of power – was in many ways the father of the Industrial Revolution. His engine, particularly after partnership with Matthew Boulton, would provide the Industrial Revolution with its power.
