Answer:	I can answer this based on our experience. We used a single-tone vibrating model with no luck. That being said, it was a different design. The idea with having several tones is that your child doesn't become used to the sound of a single tone - which becomes less easy to sleep through. Because of our experience with the previous potty alarm, I didn't want to try this one. I believed it wouldn't work - how could it be any different than the other one, right? It worked - with very quick results. I actually feel bad how long I resisted trying this one. After 12 years struggling with this issue, it was resolved in a few nights. This alarm woke my child probably 5 nights in a row because of wetness, in time to get up and go. He started getting up all on his own after that. He still wore the alarm for probably 4 weeks after that, tried going without it with one hiccup, wore it again at night a few more weeks and he's now dry without it officially. I'd say it's been 6 months since he's worn it. I hope this helps. I was skeptical, truly.
