Answer:	The one that was sent to me has rounded edges. It does not look like the one in the photo that has the 3 folded shirts on the washing machine. I wish mine did have squared edges.

Answer:	I really don't know. I bought it primarily to protect my washer and dryer. I have an ironing board that pulls out of a drawer. However it does have a pretty dominant diamond pattern and I could see how it would leave some marks. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you

Answer:	I would not wash this mat because it's made of felted wool. If you have a spill on it, try cleaning the surface with a baby wipe.

Answer:	Great question! The mats are made with only wool and hot water in the form of steam, there are no other ingredients. The "gumming up" has been reported and we wish we had a good answer as to why it has happened. We've had an offending mat shipped back to us by a very helpful customer so that we could do our own testing and we just aren't seeing the gumming up, even at temperatures well above what is recommended for wool. Our best guess so far is that some mats per run might pick up glue as a part of the packaging. As far as we know, this hasn't been an issue in the past couple of months so we are hoping whatever it was has been resolved. If you do see the issue - please let us know as soon as possible. We'll make it right immediately.

Question:	Is this any different from using a thick towel
Answer:	Depending on how thick your towel is.... if it is already doing the job of protecting the surface from burning.... I guess it is the same. The problem with the towel is that the thickness allows indentations when pressing the iron against the iron-on. With the mat, there is give.
Question:	Does the top fabric slide independently of the bottom fabric or are they attached together all the way through
Answer:	Hello, My guess is independent...one side has a scored impression and the other solid. Please be careful..do not use this on your counters or any other surface without at least two towels underneath. I never notice the damage - moisture got through - build up - and faded my walnut countertop. I folded it, added the towel, and it still faded the countertop. I informed the company, and they offered to give me a refund if I retracted my review. I thanked them, but admitted I could not do that, but told them them could keep the money, as they sent me a gift which I did not keep.
Question:	Will this leave burn markes on wooden table
Answer:	No, I never had an issue, but as a precaution I would never leave unattended. Great item for someone with small spaces, or for travel.

Question:	how much does the shipped package weigh? I live overseas and can only receive items of one pound or less
Answer:	It is shipped in a box that is just larger than the matt. They don't want to bend it. I don't know the weight, but I'm sure it is close to 1 pound. Email the seller, they should be able to answer that question. There should be a contact at the bottom of the sale page.

Answer:	I don't use starch in my patchwork; or at all, really. How does that work on your regular ironing board cover; does it build up? Since the mat is the same on both sideI guess you could designate one side for starch and not use starch on the other side.
Question:	Has anyone had a problem with the fibers melting and transfering a grayish/black film on fabric
Answer:	I have used my mat for small parts of larger projects with a craft iron next to my sewing machine without this problem. It has not been used all over or with a full size iron or on both sides so when this question came up I decided to test it. I heated my full size iron on COTTON and with full steam. I pressed several times all over the mat and on both sides and did so on a piece of scrap fabric for about twenty minutes. I had no issue with any kind of film being transferred to my fabric with or without steam. Have you brought this up with the manufacturer? Good luck!

Question:	The mat transfers heat onto the surface below and ruined my cutting mat. Now I use a silicone mat underneath but it’s still a problem. Any advice
Answer:	Well if it helps any, I put my wool mat on a very old table top ironing board that had fallen apart. It provides added protection to sewing table top. You may want to place a regular ironing board by your sewing table and place your wool mat on it, may be the safest idea. Unless you have a wooden cutting board the same size as your wool mat. This should provided the added protection from the heat. Hope this helps a little.
Question:	Is it ok to use Best Press or spray starch on fabric or does it transfer to the wool mat? Is that a problem
Answer:	I used spray starch once while pressing a block, it sort of stuck to the wool pressing mat. Now I'm not sure if it was due to the type of starch or heat of iron, but it scorched and stuck to mat. I now place a double folded piece of cotton fabric over the mat just to protect it from this happening again. This allows me to use starch and not worry about anything happening to the wool mat. I still use it and like how flat my pieced blocks iron out. I hope this helps you.

Answer:	Hi Juanita. Thank you for your question, with your question, we can explain: this happens, probably because the temperature adjusted by the customer is too high. The temperature is too high to melt the material it is ironing, not the problem of the pressing mat. When the temperature is too high, we can't directly touch the pressing mat with the iron. The temperature is too high, and it will burn out no matter what is used, when burnt it may turn black. We use 100% wool, and there is not a coating on our mats. Answer:	Yes, you can use the Wool pressing Mat on any flat surface. But STEAM is not recommended, as the steam would likely go through the mat.
Question:	Can I use this to steam block crochet squares
Answer:	I wouldn’t recommend the use of steam on a wool pressing mat. The wool acts to heat from the bottom while the iron heats from the top. You can pin your blocks to the wool mat and iron them to block without using steam.
