Answer:	This is an extra large ironing board and its space is large enough for ironing linens and tablecloths, so the silicon pad does not limit the board surface. On the other hand, we do not recommend ironing clothes over the silicone pad. Also, we recommend raising the silicon pad only for changing the cover.

Answer:	I don't think it would fit. I bought the 12.5 x 30 and it just fit around my board that measures 12.5 x 30 very snugly. So if your board is two inches longer that what the size says I don't think it will fit.

Answer:	I would definitely recommend a full size ironing board for ironing your shirts and pants. I love this little tabletop ironing board, as it is primarily designed for quick and easy small jobs. Although I iron all my clothes on it, it takes me a while to iron a long sleeve shirt and/or pants because of the small surface area. But the good news is, the padding is excellent, making for smooth ironing. And, the padding is thick, allowing it to handle the heat and steam from the iron. Overall, I am very satisfied, but for your needs you might want to go with a traditional ironing board.

Answer:	No you don't need to buy a cover, it comes with the blue cover on it just like the picture.

Answer:	I use this on my bed all the time. I fold the blankets back to make a clearer/more safe work surface, but the board itself is stable on a mattress. I would recommend not resting the iron on the bed though, I use a folding sidetable when I put mine down.

Answer:	It stands maybe an inch and a half when the legs are extended.
