Don't know about "flame resistant Coating" but I've been ironing on this same board for 60 years and these are the only type covers I use.....this is 3rd one I've bought in those 60 years. I couldn't find one locally and had to buy a silicone cover and after just a few months, I discarded it and searched Amazon until I found this. My board is small so I pull the cover to fit tight and use thumb tacks to hold it in place. It seems naturally burn resistant with common sense use.

Question:	I have a 17 x 57 inch rectangular ironing board. Should I order the 20" x 60" or would the 19" x 55" work? How much extra fabric is there for sides
Answer:	My ironing board is approx. 53.5" x 14" and I ordered the 20 x 60 and it fits great. Not a lot of extra fabric on the sides--maybe a couple inches on each side. I'd go with the 20 x 60, given the dimensions of your ironing board. Hope this helps.
Question:	I have an in-wall 42 x 11 5/8 ironing board, which size works the best? Do you think 41 x 12 would fit my board
Answer:	We offer a 12" by 42" inch cover that would be the best fit for your size Ironing Board. The main thing to keep in mind is that in-wall ironing boards tend to either mount from underneath the ironing board to the wall or some may have a rod that goes through the sides of the ironing board attaching it to the wall. Our covers will fit the in-wall covers which are attached from underneath only. The Ironing Boards which are attached from the side don't allow our ironing board covers to fully fold over the edge of the ironing board and under the belly of the board. Thank you, TIVIT

Answer:	I purchased the cover and although the measurements weren't exact, I did get it to fit. But I'm not saying it will do the same for your ironing board.

Answer:	No smell at all! I don't know about the size. I thought all boards were the same.

Answer:	I had the same question and elected to leave the old one in place. The new cover fit snugly but perfectly over the old. The extra insulation for lack of another term actually seems to make ironing easier. The old one was generally in good shape other than a small tear. I have been using the new set up for more than six months with no regrets or issues.
