Answer:	I have not washed it, but I see no reason why it can't be washed on a gentle cycle and then just fluff dry. I wouldn't want to shrink it as it is just the right size for a standard ironing board right now.

Answer:	The one I have has elastic, but I also am using the elastic clips that hold the opposite sides together. I had them from my old cover, and just put them on this new one. The cover is well padded and cute. Wish I would have gotten it years ago!

Answer:	I do not remember what the dimensions were before it shrunk but it did have a nice amount of overhang on our king size bed. Plenty of covers for us and the three cover hogging animals we have lol. After shrinking it is just slightly larger than the top of the bed.

Answer:	India. Caution, Animal claws no matter how short ,will pull on the fabric as it is not a tight weave, anything for that matter will snag the threads i.e. keys ,jewelry, a jagged toe nail, rough feet, etc.. Also I bought king size and it is very hard to determine the length from the width, seems to be no diff.. The loose weave make them very comfy, yet warm

Answer:	While I've not cooked with it in the oven I have preheated my Le Creuset skillet in the oven (450 degrees) before placing on stovetop to grill steaks... works great. It is cast iron construction so the heat of the oven should be no problem. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Fits nicely on my Maytag washer, 321/2 in. by 181/2 in. ( slight difference than quoted size). Good quality, strong magnets to hold it. I find it so much easier to use than the ironing board for my pressing for sewing and small jobs. I like it.

Answer:	I suppose it would act as a heat shield. But why would you want that on a wall? It's not attractive, it's magnetic, and the purpose of it is for ironing...not steaming. Seems like you are re-inventing the product. Just hang your clothes on a hook so the steam passes through. Wouldn't that work better?
Question:	You can see quilt marks on the mat that I am almost positive transfer to clothes. Why does this rate so well
Answer:	I agree that the product rates a bit highly considering some obvious design flaws. The quilt marks are annoying but can usually be avoided if not pressing too hard on the iron or by re-ironing the same spot. They do not consistently show on the clothes you are ironing.
