Answer:	I haven't. But I have had one of those mall kiosk people use a flat iron on my hair and do it both straight and curled. I just never tried it! It's kind of wide, I think 1 1/2 inches so might not work too good. I think a 1 inch would work better.

I have 3 and all 3 are over a year old and I love them. $69 at bed bath beyond. You can't buy it off their web site only in a store. If you print a picture of one off line you can go in to any store. If your store doesn't have one and they look up other store inventory it can be shipped to you or store. You just have to pay up front for it. I had one sent to daughter in Kentucky. Answer:	Ours last longer, as long as there is water it keeps producing steam. When you hear a gurgling sound in the steamer hose then you need to lift it straight up so the condensated water will go back down into the tank and then more steam comes out.

Answer:	You wouldn't need a converter, but you would need an adapter from the US style 2 prong to the 3 prong style used in Italy. The steamer can work on dual-voltaes (120 or 240) so you would only need the adapter. The S-type European adapter would work, which is only 2 prongs because this steamer doesn't have a grounding prong.

Question:	It spits and leaks all over my clothes. Items are too wet to wear right away. How do I solve this problem
Answer:	No, I haven't found anything that would override it. I also use it for quilting and would rather it stayed on. I found out later that the Rowenta Focus does stay on. If I had known that at the time, I would have purchased it instead. Hope this helps.
Question:	Size/dimensions of this steamer
Answer:	The correct answer is that the iron will shut itself off if it is on and (1) you leave it flat for 30 sec., (2) tip it over for 30 sec., or (3) leave it vertical for 8 min. Unplugging the iron is not an AUTO turn-off.
Question:	I just tried mine for the first time. The steam comes out (a little more than an iron) consistently, but it is not very strong. Is this normal
Answer:	I can see the water level rise as I add water to the iron. You can see the level through the clear plastic cover. That said, this is a powerful iron that puts out a lot of steam. Therefore, it goes through a tank of water after I iron just two or three shirts. I am happy to refill the chamber as needed, since this powerful iron will take the wrinkles out of any fabric.

Question:	Is there a way to override the auto shutoffs it will stay on. I need this feature for quilting
Answer:	DG8520 has safety clip for nose of iron (plus indented heel area to securely hold iron nose to heel - iron stays securely in place since its gripped by both sides) - keeps unit snug together with less chance of falling while transporting (previous iron could flip off during transport as you have to physically hold onto both top iron and bottom generator/station unit). DG8520 also has on/off switch (for previous models without built in on/off switch - its possible to plug into power strip with on/off switch) which previous models do not... along with larger water tank. Both can be filled with water without unit having to be cooled down. Just refill and keep on pressing! ;)I've owned several of the last 3 models (for my sewing business - these Rowenta iron steam stations can be your best friend - saves time for repetitive motions)... and like the DG8520 the best. The built in on/off switch and longer time between refilling have spoiled me... plus it's neat that I can carry unit without fear of iron being bumped off while in transport.
Question:	what does 3 way auto shut off mean
Answer:	The designs are different. I am completely happy with the purple one. I had two previous models that I hated because they dribbled water all over, so (personally) I would not even bother with the cheaper one. In fact, I might buy another purple model to have in storage in case Rowenta changes the design on the NEXT model.
