Answer:	My thought on this without seeing your furniture, if you put the slipcover on the sofa and then push your recliner back it would pull on the slip cover but to what degree I do not know. I have two chairs and the slip covers work well on them and they do not slide when someone sits or gets up. (not recliners) As anything though, you always want to rearrange them when no one is sitting on them.
