User questions & answers

Question: Is the plastic 32 oz container BPA free
Answer: Shipping weight is listed as 3# so you can safely assume that it is about 1.25kg (1250g) or slightly more or just under 2.9# dry weight. That includes the container, of course. Mine just came yesterday and we are getting ready to pour out some buckwheat pancakes: can't wait! This is by far the best I have found on Amazon and I have tried several. Just a biscuit corner dipped in it told me it was a step up above previous brands.
Question: What is the difference between the dark and amber colored maple syrup? Flavor
Answer: Pure maple syrup is not raw. It comes from the sap of Sugar Maple trees, which is unique to North America. Each spring “maple sugar makers” head out to the native woods of eastern North America to collect the maple tree’s sap. Through a careful process of collection and boiling, the sap is transformed into richly flavored pure maple syrup. To see how we make our maple syrup, visit our website at the following link: There is a neat little video at the bottom of the page. http://butternutmountainfarm.com/about/maple-source
Question: What is the shelf life
Answer: Our 100% Pure Maple Syrup is one simple ingredient - the sap of the North American Sugar Maple Tree. Nutrients naturally found in pure maple syrup, include zinc, potassium, manganese, thiamine, calcium, iron, magnesium, and riboflavin. Pure Maple Syrup is a pure natural sweetener, nothing is added. No preservatives. No flavorings. No artificial colors. The caloric value of maple syrup is 52 per tablespoon, compared to 60 in sugar and 64 in honey. Enjoy!
Question: Should I put it in the refrigerator after opening the lid
Answer: Here is what I found doing a Google search: For long term storage, the Association says that maple syrup retains its flavor best when kept in the freezer (it will not freeze solid). StillTasty.com indicates that 100 percent pure maple syrup should keep for a year unopened in the pantry, a year opened in the refrigerator, and indefinitely in the freezer.

Pure Maple Sugar - 48 Oz - A&A Maple

A&A Maple

Based on 358 reviews Check latest price

Product description

100% Pure Maple Sugar. At A&A Maple, our family's small business, we specialize in Pure Maple Sugar. Our sugar is handmade from only 100% Pure, Grade A, Maple Syrup! The secret to making our fine sugar is to make it in small batches, by hand, using only the highest quality syrup. It only makes sense that using the best quality syrup yields the best sugar. Many of the other Maple Syrup producers turn their low grade (industrial grade) syrup into what we consider sub-par sugar. Do not be fooled, demand Maple Sugar made only from Grade A Syrup ("table" grades). Maple Sugar has a nearly unlimited shelf life if you keep it from getting wet. Our Maple Sugar is used in a dry rub and sauce at a Bar-B-Q restaurant (it works fantastic for dry rub or glaze for meats!). Also it is great sprinkled on cereal, buttered toast, fresh fruit, roasted vegetables, or your favorite baked goods. A superb substitute for brown and white sugar in apple pie and pecan pie (substitute walnuts for pecans for my new favorite pie). Use in your whipped cream or frosting. Nice in coffee or tea, and pretty much an all-around substitute for granulated sugar. You can even add water to turn it back into Maple Syrup. In the days of early America much of the Maple Syrup was sold as granulated sugar (for ease of storage and transporting) and then re-constituted as needed to make syrup. Why use chemically processed sugars, when you can have an all-natural product that has been enjoyed for almost 300 years. Notes: At A&A Maple we use sustainable farming processes. We guarantee no fertilizers or chemicals will be used in our woods. While we do not pay to be certified organic, I believe our product would qualify. We don’t see the reason to add costs to you for what is inherently a pure, all natural product. Proud to be Made In Maine, USA.

  • 100% Pure Maple Sugar
  • Made From 100% Grade A Maine Maple Syrup
  • The Highest Quality, Fine Textured, Maple Sugar
  • Delightfully Sweet! The Original American Sweetener
  • Hand Made in Maine, USA

User questions & answers

Question: Is this maple sugar unrefined
Answer: The filter-holder is shaped like a standard cone filter. I think it would match a #4, but it's been a long time since I used paper filters.
Question: Can this be used to make maple cotton candy
Answer: Yes, but we found that almond milk leaves a fatty/slimy residue inside the tubes that make it harder to clean. You might need to play around with different brands of milk
Question: How different in chemistry is maple sugar from maple syrup
Answer: The professional fine foam frother fits all current models that have a steam port.
Question: What is the"added sugars
Answer: Absolutely. Best Jura machine we have owned. Consistently excellent coffee with great crema, multiple program capabilities (water temp, volume, coffee strength etc). Only machine out there that I know of that has 2 separate canisters to store and individually grind coffee + separate spout for pre-ground coffee. Very solid machine. Others have mentioned that can't view level on water storage tank unless remove it from its dock but this is a minor issue.

User questions & answers

Question: Is the pattern the same size as the 2'3" x 10" runner
Answer: This is just the way nutrition label is worded. Nothing goes in our maple sugar but pure Maine maple syrup. Sadly you're not the only one to ask and it's something we never considered when we pulled the nutrition info from a large online database of nutrition labels.
Question: Can I use this on a laminate floor
Answer: That depends on the coffee used and how strong you like your coffee. Keep in mind, 12 cups actually equals 72 oz, not 96. If your referring to 2 cups of coffee as 2 average mugs, you need to fill with water to 4 cup mark. Again, how much ground coffee is up to you. I add 2 scoops coffee, a measured 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, and about 1/6th of a cinnamon stick to a paper cone filter; a perfect kick start for me in the morning.
Question: I think the wrong rug went out .... I want doorway rug in white and gray
Answer: I bought this because my Mr Coffee didn't brew the coffee hot enough. I checked the coffee temp right after it finished brewing and the Capresso was 180 degrees while the Mr Coffee was only 167 degrees. The capresso was not only hotter but also far better tasting
Question: Is this machine washable? Like in a laundromat commercial machine
Answer: yes it stays warm for about 2 hours then automatically shuts off

User questions & answers

Question: Has anyone used it on top of non-plush, thin carpet? Any negatives? Thank-you
Answer: Yes, the Maples Rugs Rebecca Runner, 1'9"x5', is machine washable. The Rebecca rug should be dried on the low setting or hang to dry. Thank you.
Question: Is the light spa a teal or green color
Answer: No. It involves only boiling maple syrup up to 270 degrees and then churning as it cools. There is no chemical and/or mechanical washing/refining as would happen when processing cane or beet sugars.
Question: For sure washable
Answer: Yes. We have a few local customers that use it in theirs. As far as I know they do NOT use only maple sugar but blend it with standard white refined sugar. I cannot say what percentage they blend or why, some experimentation may be needed but it most certainly can be at least blended and used.
Question: Is the wineberry red more on the purple or red side
Answer: Maple syrup itself has some variance in percentages of types of sugar and trace elements depending on the metabolism of the trees any particular day and whether or not reverse osmosis is used (mostly everybody who boils syrup beyond hobby scale uses RO these days). From there, sugar is just that concentrated. If you're interested in chemical analysis of syrup or sugar dig around at University of Vermont website. They have a good agricultural program and seem to have the best collection of maple related research and data. For practical purposes it's safe to say that there's no more of a difference between any given sample of syrup and any sample of sugar as you would find between two samples of syrup from different sides of the same mountain or even between one week and the next out of the same orchard, and sugar is essentially syrup with the rest of the water boiled off. .
