However, the curved crossbars of the pack frame extend out an inch (for the comfort of your back), which may reduce the effective shelf extension to 8.5 inches, depending upon the specifics of the item. If you need more shelf area, it would be easy to cut and mount a piece of plywood onto the shelf frame.

Answer:	There is no pack bag that goes with this frame.. you have to find a pack bag For your need and purchase it....

Answer:	Yes, there are lashing straps. I'm not presently at home; I will be able to tell you the length on Sunday. I think this pack will serve your purpose as the hip belt is quite comfy. One down side: then buckles for the hip straps are a bit cheap and easily slip...they can be easily beefed up.
Question:	How big does the hip belt adjust to
Answer:	It most likely will, I would have to know your application for that kind of setup. I use this for packing out elk. It works well for that but I dont carry an additional pack at the same time. If you are going to use it to support the Alice pack and brace it then yes, it will distribute weight better.

Answer:	With a torso range of 14.5-18.5 in (37-47 cm) the Redwing 44 is very much a unisex pack. The best fit will be within the torso range. To measure your torso:Have a friend measure your back. Stand with your back to them and your hands on your hips like you are scolding someone. Your thumbs will point to a stop on your lower spine. Start from this point and measure up to the C-7 vertebrae, which is the one that sticks out of the back of your neck when you touch your chin to your chest. The measurement between these 2 points is your torso length.
Question:	I'm a big ol' fat guy, I have a waist of about 60 to 62 inches. Will the waist belt on this pack be able to buckle for me

Answer:	The clips holding the backing to the frame are are pliable metal. I believe your poster will fit no problem. You may have to not use the provided backing, which isn't really necessary with a stiff item. At worst, you could also remove the plexiglass front.

Answer:	The dimensions of the outside of the frame are 26.5x20.6x0.5 inches.

Answer:	Inside edges because the print I had fit the frame perfectly and the size was the size of the frame. It really set the print off well. Love the way it looked.

Answer:	I consumed about 2/3 of my frame before my hunger was fulfilled and I was not harmed. My guess is no, these frames do not contain formaldehyde.
