Answer:	the down adjustment limit is just enough to read a book. i can sit in a normal posture and read fine using this light. i count 11 notches in the adjustment mechanism.
Question:	How far can I expect to see in the bright red setting? I am hoping to see at least 30 feet
Answer:	my experience is that 30 ft with the red led is right at the edge of usable.
Question:	How does the light colour work? Can I turn on and off the red light only without using the white one at all? How
Answer:	Yes, the red light turns on initially. When you press the button again the light will turn off. The dim red light comes on first, if you want bright red, press the button again. If you press and hold the "on" button the the red light will turn on and then the dim white light. To get bright white light, press and hold the button until the dim white light is lit, then click again for bright light. It sounds confusing but I got used to it quickly.

Answer:	Yes, they would. The majority of clips are at least 1 1/4", with the actual cat designs ranging from about 3/4" to 1 1/4", making the totals close to 2 or more inches. They're really cute and something a little different. I've got them strung on a wall holding pictures and post cards.
