Answer:	This will work with any EN417 (Lindal Valve) canister fuel. Without a separately purchased adapter this will NOT work with the large, typically green, cans of pure propane or the tall, skinny bottles of butane. The canisters you're looking for that work without an adapter are the short, wide backpacking style canisters. Those canisters come filled with anything from pure butane, to isobutane and propane blends, with the main difference between the blends being the minimum temperature they're rated for, any of them should fine in this lantern. You can also purchase adapters to make this function on anything from those larger pure propane Coleman style bottles to the tall, skinny pure butane bottles. The main difference in all the fuel options is the lowest temperature it'll work at and the weight trade off in how strong the canister has to be to hold the fuel under pressure, with pure propane requiring heavy bottles to hold the pressure but working well below freezing, or pure butane with it's very low pressure but poor performance once you get close to freezing as pure butane boils at 31F/-0.5C and the bottle will cool itself as you use fuel.

Answer:	Just got 1 and it came with 1 mantle which I already messed up and am buying a 3 pack when done typing. Be sure to look at picture on box as the instructions to shape it like a bowl led me to do it upside down

Answer:	When considering whether to take it backpacking I ran two one-hour tests on consecutive evenings using a 220g Optimus butane/isobutane/propane canister, which I weighed before and after each test. My elevation is approx. 1500 feet above sea level and the outdoor temp was 70-ish with no wind. I turned it up to maximum brightness and then backed off just a little bit. The two tests used 33g and 31g for an average of 32g per hour so I figure you get approx. 6.875 hours from a 220g fuel canister at this setting, more of course at lower settings which are plenty bright for campsite work. Also tried heating water in a stainless steel coffee cup and it is do-able if you can rig a way to prop it up on top of the lantern. It's a tough choice for backpacking, I really like this little lantern, but at .43 lb. for the lantern with case/spare mantles, and .81 lb. for a 220g fuel canister, that might be too much of a weight penalty for something that produces about as many lumens as an average headlamp. Still tempting though for the ambience and heat (this puts out a lot of heat). I didn't measure its fuel consumption using propane (1 lb. green bottle) or straight butane (from the hairspray-shaped canisters) but have used both with the adapters and the lantern works great with all three fuel sources. One other note, I was still using the mantle that it came with instead of the better Coleman #51 mantles, so that may have made a difference in fuel consumption.

Answer:	It claims it can last 600 hours I am telling you I am at over 200 now on same batteries still going strong this lantern is an excellent value and works incredibly well. Answer:	No, iit fits the iso / butane type cannisters. However you can buy one on E Bay out of China very inexpensive. The lantern - by the way, works exceedingly well and the lumens are excellent. it's a good buy.
