Answer:	There are separate handles for the top & bottom baskets. Each handle fits into holes on a bracket on the side of the basket. A clip on the handle locks it in place so it will not fall off. It is very convenient to attach & detach the handles for putting on a grill, just be careful to use protective where when handling portions of the metal that get hot. Overall I have been happy with this purchase. After a year of heavy use one of the clips for the handle fell off due to the amount of veggies I put into the basket. Don't completely fill the basket! I have continued using it but hope that they change their process to make that joint stronger.

Answer:	The handle can't be removed. One of the issues with the grilling basket. I just turn the handle over the grill and close the lid. Yes, the handle gets hot so I use a hot mitt to turn veggies and remove from the grill.

Answer:	Possible but it may not be the best tool for the job. The handle sticks out horizontally from the basket, rather than rising a couple of inches the way deep fryer baskets do.

Answer:	Nothing really. I just make my elastic long enough that I won’t get close to the end. The flat round silicone stops have a much tighter fit

Answer:	I tried with my 1/8 inch flat elastic and could not get the elastic to thread through the very small hole with the tools I had on hand for already sewed in elastic. Using a needle and thread to feed it through didn't work, it broke the thread. A Bodkin may assist this process, which I dont have.
