Answer:	Works just as the original. To answer your question there is a "pause" button located on the handle, just as the original. Mine works just fine.

Answer:	Approximately 9MM ID. Approximate as the hole has 12 ridges so the interior diameter varies. The ridges "grab" onto "valleys" on the faucet so the knob doesn't spin freely.
