Perhaps try Model # LEDR4/927CA/MED/2 instead. This is designed for 4 inch recessed cans and the trim is 5.12 inches in diameter.
Question:	Will a 5” acrylic disc that’s 1/8” thick work with this lamp base
Answer:	Yes. The interior of the flange is hollowed out in order to accept the old trim. This is especially necessary with Lightolier trims, insofar as the trim ring is an integral part of the original socket assembly, meaning that you cannot use this module if you remove the original trim. This module is one of the only we found that works with 5" trims (even though other modules claim to do so). Finally, it takes 30 seconds to replace the original light bulb, and the new module snugs up beautifully to the ceiling. No need for an electrician, or to fool around with spring clips.

Question:	How deep is the slot
Answer:	I have seen recommendations that 12" is the largest size usable for the image area (the base being about 3" across). However. Keep in mind that the acrylic is brightest closest to the light source. The base will be a bit brighter, and the furthest edge will be lit but less so than the base. The lighting will not end 12" from the base, but depending on the image, the drop-off in intensity may be fine beyond 12" out or it may not. Images will vary. Also, because your base is limited in size, you don't want your acrylic panel to be so large that it is off-balance and falls over. I have easily used circles that are about 7", and oblong images that are about 8" tall, and about 5 " wide. I have seen examples that are wide and short, as well. Tall and wide...at some point, the panel will be unstable but I can't tell you where that point is.

I bought a set in March 2019 and again in November 2020 and the dimensions have changed even between those two. The measurements I just got with my digital calipers are 80.8 mm X 4.1mm for the length X width of the slot and the depth is 15mm, not 12.7. BIG difference when you are measuring for cutting acrylic plates.

Answer:	These are white LEDs (blue LEDs with a yellow phosphor over them), and should last for severals of years on average with gradual dimming (standard behavior for LEDs). I'd recommend a better USB power adapter. The one this ships with appears very cheap and inefficient; the USB adapter itself gets warm so don't cover it up with anything that will insulate it. Your biggest issue will be heat management. Just be aware that the only cooling available for the lights is convective air currents above the lights themselves; they don't draw very much power, but there's almost nowhere for the heat to go. The wood base acts as a thermal insulator. The hotter the LEDs get, the shorter their lifespan will be.
