Each Cospring wooden platter is unique since it is a natural product and wood grain varies by year and the tree grows.



The platter is from ONE solid piece of hard wood, NOT from pressed and glued pieces. Each platter is manual grinding and hand sealed with natural plant oily finish which is food safe.





COSPRING root wooden platter is hand-carved by skilled artisans with their wisdom and imagination.



The artisans carve the shape into flowing lines that follow the original piece of wood, and hollowed it out to make a platter.

There are various shades of grey, brown and red that really make the trays unique.



The colors come from the root being under the ground and picking up minerals from soil. They are spectacularly beautiful though, and highly prized for their unique grain patter. The platter would look great on a coffee table or as a centerpiece.

Answer:	You probably could use this as a spoon rest, but I would imagine a spoon with hot liquids marring the surface. If you do decide to do this, I would suggest using a food-safe wax, like one designed for a cutting board, to protect the wood.

Question:	Are the hands flat on the bottom and how wide is the bottom that sits on the table
Answer:	It is not flat. The bottom is fingers, so it rests on the table on four of the fingers and a small stump like leg that helps balance so it doesn't rock.

Answer:	Yes, but you will not be able to prop them up if you are thinking of positioning them between the thumbs and resting them against the fingers. Nice idea but too big. Will only be able to lay them down.
Question:	What are the dimensions
Answer:	Approximately 6" x 51/2" by 21/2" high. It is also quite heavy (I don't know the number of pounds since I don't own a scale) and has a rough bottom surface. (Be careful to not scratch your furniture by sliding it around.) It is a wonderful piece though and I love looking at it throughout the day.

Answer:	I think it would be too small with no perch for birds. Made of iron and probably rust.
