Hopes this helps!Update, actually, a few pages further, the manual mentions that both green and yellow lights can be customized to the following duration: 00:15, 00:30, 1:00, 1:30 and 2:00. By default, the clock is set at 0:30 for battery savings reasons.

Answer:	Yes. It may not display the time but it will remember the time and set off the alarm. At least the old model did. This one I haven't had a power failure to test it yet, but it SHOULD do the same thing. The only time it wont' do it, based on experiences with the old clock, is when the battery in it is low.

Answer:	It does have brightness settings. See previous answers. I personally do not care for the brightness at either setting, so I cut a piece of heavy white construction paper (about 6 1/2 X 3 1/2 inches), set the clock to dimmest setting and place the construction paper over the front of the display. The paper usually sticks there by itself (due to static electricity) and I only need it at night. The time is still visible in a dark room. Works great!

Question:	How long does the green light stay lit? If I set it to turn on at 6:30 and my kid doesn't look at it until 7 or later, will it still be lit
Answer:	As others have answered that is up to you. So you can set it to turn yellow to turn green and when the green light turns off. My only wish is that the clock had a weekend option. You set it to turn green at 6am for school. It is going to be 6 am on Saturday and Sunday as well.

Answer:	There are two separate lighted parts. The clockface and feet are backlit with a yellow light. The light doesn't project, but is very clearly visible in a dark room. There is no way to turn the backlight off when the clock is plugged in. My interpretation of the instructions is that when the clock is running on battery power only, the backlight stays off, but I haven't tried it. The "nightlight" feature is a glow that illuminates the rest of the clock (the white portion in the picture). It can be set to glow yellow, green or off at up to three distinct times of your choosing.

Answer:	Hi Jennifer, here is what you have to do. Press and hold the LIGHT key for 2 seconds from there use the hour and minute keys to make sure it is set at 8pm (which is should be because that is the default). Then tap the LIGHT key and set this at the time you want the green light to turn off. If you want the green light to come on at 7am I would set this time at 8am (which means the green light will stay on for 1 hour just in case they sleep in it will be on to let them know it is ok to get up). Tap the LIGHT key for the last time and set the time at 7am. This last time is setting the time you want the green light to turn on. Then tap the LIGHT key to exit the set up mode. Please let me know if you have any questions...this took me about a week to figure out how to set it correctly. Good luck!

Question:	It only turns on when connected to a powered-on laptop or tv usb port. is my unit defective
Answer:	I am sorry that I do not know the particulars of this clock, but if the clock will power on by USB, you should only need a wall plug to connect a USB cord to a standard electrical outlet. In this area, many stores sell these in the check out area or computer peripherals, but you can obtain one very cheaply on Amazon or eBay. (In the stores, they could be $10, but online they are only a dollar or two.) I hope this helps.
Question:	How do i set time
Answer:	When you first plug it in, the clock display will show 0:00. 1.) While 0:00 is displayed, press and hold the Mode button on the top of the clock to enter time set mode. The hours digits will blink. 2.) Use the + and - buttons on the top of the clock to adjust the hour. Press the 12/24 button on the top of the clock to switch between 12 and 24 hour time formats. Press the Mode button to set the hour and move to the minutes. 3.) Use the + and - buttons to adjust the minutes. Press Mode to finish setting the time.
