I don't think they would be bright enough. The hard plastic walls are thick and would dim the light for inside but are bright at night. I have more brightness with some LED waxed flameless candles with timer I get at Costco every year in the fall. I love them. These I found on Amazon are similar. No remote is needed to set timer. It's set and forget. Very similar to what I use all the time and I've tried several kinds. Plus they light up almost all the way down the candle.
