Answer:	I wouldn't necessarily say they burned too quickly, but I think calling them a 15 hour candle is misleading. I use a glass votive holder that completely contains the fresh candle, and I get a solid 10 hours out of them. This is in a room with fans going most of the time, and I suspect that causes them to burn a bit faster, due to more oxygen getting circulated into the area of the wick.

Question:	What is the diameter of the base of these candles
Answer:	In my experience as a user of beeswax candles they tend to make very little or no soot; with the tea lights they are so small that I have never noticed any soot coming from any beeswax tea light. From larger beeswax candles once in a very great while I have seen some soot after a candle has been burning for a long time with a very high flame and usually it has to do with how much wick is present above the top of the wax and how blackened it is. Some candle makers/sellers will tell you to trim the wick if you get any soot and then relight the candle. As I said though with tea lights they are so small and are not lit for as many hours so I have not noticed it happen. Makers/sellers of beeswax candles tend to broadly claim these candles have no soot altogether and I would day it is true for the most part, maybe not as much of a blanket truth as the selling listings claim. Certainly they are far less apt to produce soot than any other type of candle I have used. I generally use only soy or beeswax these days (once in a while coconut wax or a mixture) and that has been my experience; if you ask someone who makes them you might get a more exact or knowledgeable response. Cotton or hemp wicks are usually the ones used with soy and beeswax; I believe the wick material can also make a difference as far as soot, so I would stick with those when in doubt.
