Answer:	Hello again! Thanks for being patient. Google home can now operate in Fahrenheit. To do this, please unlink Smart Life from Google Home. Then confirm that your heater is displaying the temperature in Fahrenheit. Once you have your heater settings on Fahrenheit, relink Smart Life to Google Home. Now you will be able to operate your heater with Google home in Fahrenheit. Answer:	All electrical resistance heaters convert 100% of the energy they use to heat. The efficiency question comes in, as Heat Storm says, when you ask where is the heat going (fan blows it into the room where you are - so good) and does it create too much heat (thermostat shuts it off when the air is warm enough - good). The answer from Amazon Customer on December 7, 2020 is incorrect. Every last watt will become heat in the room, even the light from the glowing element will become heat in the room unless you point the heater out an open window - don't do that, and you're all set.
Question:	Has anyone noticed their electric bill increasing significantly with this product? How energy efficient is it
Answer:	Mine NEVER SHUT OFF. Even setting the timer for 8 hours it never would shut off. They only way to turn it off is to unplug it. But honestly, it doesn’t heat anything so I don’t think there’s any harm except to your pocketbook if it runs all day. It’s also suppose to with over WiFi from anywhere in the world however the app crashes upon startup so there is no WiFi. Please look elsewhere.

Answer:	It is designed by Vornado Inc. in andover Kansas, but made in China. We had these in several offices, and ran them 8 hours a day for years- great quality and efficiency.
Question:	the fan stopped spinning but the light is on,how to fix
Answer:	Recently I noticed my Vornado would turn on, with indicator LED and you could hear the unit trip on when you turn the dial, but with no fan or heat. All I had to do was blast around inside with some compressed air, it fired right back up. I'm assuming accumulated dust/gunk was preventing a circuit from completing. I've owned it a few years and this is the only problem I've ever had, and it was due to my lack of maintenance/cleaning.
Question:	I have previously used tower space heaters. With this heater, what does each setting equate to? I want to set the temperature to 73 degrees
Answer:	Controlling room temperature when the thermostat is within the heater like all space heaters I have ever seen is just a rough idea and is much harder when it is very cold on the other side of the wall from the room you are heating. It probably will not work well unless the thermostat is on the other side of the room away from any cold walls. If you want precise control for the entire room at 73 degrees, you will need either a ceiling fan or a strong high volume air cleaner to constantly and rapidly circulate the air. Or a space heater with a 20 inch fan running on medium speed. Even under those good conditions, the thermostat in most space heaters will only hold the temperature with a degree or two. A space heater with electronic temperature regulation should do better, but when you have real electronics, it should be plugged into a surge protector. And if the surge protector has a cord, the cord needs to be 12-gauge if the cord is long or 14-gauge wire if the cord is short. Never plug a space heater into a typical 16-gauge extension cord as the extension cord will likely get hot and melt and start a fire. As always, electric space heaters are very inefficient and costly way to heat compared to a good Mitsubishi or Fujitsu mini-split electric heat pump, but they are very cheap to buy and are a very cheap short term solution. Space heaters cost at least 4 times as much in utility bills as a natural gas furnace and 2 times as much as a propane furnace for the heating of the same amount of square feet. The monthly utility bill for a high quality heat pump typically falls between the price of natural gas and propane and if you live in a place where you don't use a lot of heat in winter, heat pumps can win even over natural gas. That means, you can heat at least 4 identical sized rooms with natural gas for the price of one room with a cheap electric space heater. Space heaters shine when you just want extra heat in one room for a few hours each day. They typically cost about 8 to 40 cents per hour of heating time depending if you run it on low or high and the price of electricity where you live. If not calling for heat, that is, fan only, the cost is often less than half a penny per hour. All 1500 watt space heaters use the same amount of electricity when on high and 1500 watts is about 5000 BTU per hour of heat. But some do a better job of circulating the air or radiating the heat around the room then others and that and perceived quality are the main things that drive the price and ratings. A ceiling fan in the same room will negate much of the difference in circulating air between one heater and another. I especially like this product because it has 3 heat settings instead of 2 as I generally like the room to heat very slowly and constantly, but when it is cold outdoors or indoors, then I need higher settings to achieve the same result. I also like that is has a 5 year guarantee as I have found that all space heaters I owned only last 6 months to 6 years. The guarantee implies this one may be better.

Answer:	There is probably nothing wrong with your heater. It is just that using more electricity increases your electricity bill. The only way I know to decrease the bill is run it for less time or at a cooler setting.

Answer:	I did buy both and the lasko is easy to knock over and gets very hot to the touch, feels like it could easily start a fire where the Votnado isn't hot to the touch at all, hard to tip over and shuts off if tipped over. Answer:	NEVER plug ANY space heater into a power strip, especially one with a surge protector. They draw too much current and can cause the contacts in the outlet to overheat. Even if that doesn't happen, if the outlet strip has a surge protector, it will eventually fail, overheat, and catch fire. It's not the fault of the space heater. Any high current device presents the same danger.

Question:	What is it’s BTU
Answer:	Basically, all electric space heaters convert 100% of the electricity you pay for to 100% heat. That would always be about 3.4 BTU/watt/hour. So 1500 watts is about 5000 BTU/hour and 750 watts is about 2500 BTU/hour. A window or mini split heat pump on the other hand extracts heat from the outdoor air and uses that heat to heat the indoor air, so the BTUs per watt can typically be from 1 to about 5 times what an electric space heater can do depending on air temperatures and many other factors. Space heaters are really cheap up front, but heat pumps can be cheaper in the long run if they never wear out or require much expense in annual maintenance, which is the real question. My problem with space heaters is that dust gets into them and after a lot of use, perhaps 100 to 200 hours running time, you can no longer run them on high as they overheat due to dust build up and a weak fan. They are usually sealed so you can't open them up to give them a good cleaning. All you can do is vacuum the outer surfaces and perhaps use the exhaust on the vacuum to blow out the internal deeper dust. Or take it outdoors and blow through it with a leaf blower. Heat pumps are safer as several houses in the US burn down every year due to accidents with space heaters, for example, a piece of curtain gets too close or sucked in and catches fire. But modern space heaters are designed to make it somewhat harder for that to happen.

Answer:	The first run has a powerful smell but quickly subsides. I am not familiar with any beep codes or why it would not power back on. But with heaters I recommend not leaving it powered if it is not performing as expected that could be a fire risk. I would seek support from the manufacturer on your unit.

Answer:	No, it won't burn you. It just gets warm to the touch, with the grill being the warmest. You can pick it up and move it by holding inner metal cone in the back. It's very sturdy!

Answer:	I purchased this vornado whole room heater, I am very satisfied with this unit. It heats up room immediately. It heats the room but is not hot touch, so it is not harmful around kids or pets. the warmth goes round the room, it seems to circulate, doesn't blow heat in just 1 direction. unit is stationary doesn't turn or oscillate, its more like a fan. I got this for my upstairs 3 rooms, I turn it on for about an hour and turn it off for the rest of the night and use my other space heater that is in the middle room for the rest of the night. I would highly recommend to anyone. I tried about 4 other units until I got this. we have snow here and the temperature is and has been between 7degrees to25.

Answer:	I have mine sitting in front of me but about 10 feet away. It is strong enough that I get warmth, but don't feel a big breeze. It is a mighty little heater, and I think you would like it. The room I have it in is about 12 x 15 and it heats it up nicely even at the medium settings. So it will heat up a bathroom nicely I think. it heats the whole room, not just the ceiling..hahaha...

Answer:	I think in the center of the wall facing across the room would provide a little more even heat than a corner, because the fan would not have to push the heat as far as it would if it was in the corner. Because heat rises, the floor is the best place to put it as it will pick up the coldest air of the room off the floor and blow hot air across the floor in the room. Then the heat will naturally rise on its own for even heating. If you put it on a nightstand, the floor will stay cold as hot air naturally always resists going down. Also is best to put it on an outside wall so that it sucks out the coldest air in the room and heats it reducing cold feet. To have a warmer feeling room, it is good to keep the natural tendency for hot air to rise, keep the hot air from going to the ceiling and staying up there where it does no good. A ceiling fan always helps. Think of a chest food freezer vs an upright food freezer. When you open the door of an upright freezer, all of the heavy cold air spills out on your feet. When you open the door of a chest freezer, most of the heavy cold air stays trapped inside the freezer. Same in a room, the heavier cold air stays on the floor. So the space heater needs to take that cold air and heat it and blow it across the floor, then the warmer lighter air will naturally go up and mix with the rest of the air as the colder air naturally falls down. Cold walls and windows cools the air next to them that naturally will then fall to the floor giving you cold feet in winter. A space heater under a closed window or cold wall can be effective in drawing in that cold air and warming it which reduces cold feet.
