The Tstat's most important role is turning the mats OFF, not on. Without a stat the mats are just going to keep making heat until you turn them off, maybe after the house burns down, maybe not. No switch, timer, photocell...whatever you employ to control the mats is going to take the place of a thermostat for a proper and safe installation. Anything else would be reckless.

Answer:	Color is 3400°k. Whiter than standard OEM bulbs, but not bluish. Perfect for long distance vision. (Bluer bulbs actually reduce distance vision as the blue coating absorbs a lot of light; and the eye has a harder time seeing in the blue spectrum due to smaller number of rods in the eye sensitive to blue, and that blue focuses in a different part of the eye). Point being, you lose a lot with the "whiter" bulbs. I purchased a set of these in Feb. 2017 and they're still going strong. Especially so, considering that I'm running with DRL on. Best Halagen bulbs you can buy.

Answer:	I let it sit outside for a few hours, just in case, but as far as i can tell there is no smell.

Answer:	No, it does not... it works much like steam heat radiator ... if you want moving air, to spread the heat, a window fan, set to low, blowing at it, will work.

Answer:	No they aren't digital and there is no timer but it does have a thermostat so when it reaches the desired temp in the room it shuts off until the temperature drops then it comes back on

Question:	Is this good for an older person sitting that needs heat on them not the whole room
Answer:	The unit can be run on High 1500 watts or low 500 watts. The Green button keeps it too warm for me. The heaters thermostat can be adjusted to 39 degrees. I heat a 532 sq ft apartment that is well insulated on the low 500 watts setting even in sub-freezing weather.
Question:	Is it quiet or have a loud blowing sound
Answer:	I havent measured it, but the typical low heat consumption is around 800-870W. High works at ~1460W
Question:	Is it 9 inch or 14 inch
Answer:	Yes it does. It is always showing the current room temperature, unless you press the button to see what your setting is at.
Question:	where is this heater manufactured
Answer:	I don't see why not. it is not very heavy. it does have recessed caster wheels, but you could pop them off so it does not move. Just make sure the end table your going to put it on is not the same end table worth $5,000 on the Antique Road Show.

Question:	What size room will this heat
Answer:	Yes, it is supposed to make a lot of noise as the oil inside is heated. Once it gets to a certain temp it will be very quiet.
Question:	Is this safento use on a carpet floor
Answer:	Thank you for your inquiry. It does take some time for this unit to full heat an area by itself, as this heater has no fan to circulate the hot air. We would advise using a TurboForce fan to circulate the air in the room, reducing the amount of time the unit takes to heat the room to the temperature you set. Answer:	It has a 250 square foot rating.. I've got one in my living room and kitchen and in the winter they keep my house to the temp I want it. I'm getting another one for the back of my house so I can do away with Central heat
