Answer:	For maximum safety, my recommendation is to store propane containers in a weather protected location, such as garage or shed with some natural ventilation. Propane is a highly flammable liquified petroleum gas that vaporizes and expands many-fold very quickly if released to atmospheric pressure, and will form a highly explosive mixture if released in a confined space without outside ventilation. If then ignited by a small spark such as a light switch, the resulting explosion may be catastrophic. There are on-line photos of boats that have exploded from propane leaks in the confined space of a boat cabin with catastrophic results including death of occupants. The cabin top and sides have literally been blown to pieces in such cases. New, sealed bottles of 1 lb size are reasonably safe, but once opened or partly used it is best to store away from occupied spaces. Although the probability is low, the consequences of failure are unacceptable. 20 lb propane containers should never be stored indoors. Answer:	Yes, any size propane tank can be a source for it when plumbed correctly. The simplest way to go is using the F273704 hose directly off most tanks. That hose needs nothing else and goes direct from the tank to the heater. This model heater only accepts high pressure gas thru the "disposable tank" connection, so other hoses with that connection can be used as well as the "filter" F273699. The "filter" is to take out oils coming from most rubbers in hoses where the high pressure "squeezes" the oil out, but the 704 hose is made "oil-free" to avoid that issue. FYI I tried running this off a regulated low pressure source, but with it on "high" the glow was like "low" setting normally (showing a lack of gas coming thru). So if you have a low pressure source, the "Big Buddy" models have a connection point for such thru a quick disconnect using hoses like F271802 or F271803, but not this model (this one needs high pressure gas to get enough thru it's disposable tank port).

Answer:	Best guess is 4-5 hours on low. I sat in a hunting blind for 2.5 hours and the 1lb propane canister was about half empty.

Answer:	As soon as the weather gets cold, I put my Big Buddy Heater on a stand & use a Mr. Heater 12' hose with regulator running to a 20lb. tank in living room. I use the hose with the low pressure regulator on it & hook it up to the quick connect fitting. I have 2 20lb tanks in mint condition, and rotate them as needed. This will be my 7th winter using it. Old windows & doors let air in and I have a carbon monoxide alarm near by. Also use a leak detector to check all connections after hooking up a full tank. If it's really cold, I'll start it on high for a short time, then run it on medium & it keeps living & dining room warm. Cuts my oil bill down greatly.

Answer:	No, they don't. At least, if they do, I've never seen mine turn off. Another bit of info you or any other potential buyer might like to be aware of is that, based upon the 6 o so that I own, its not uncommon for these heaters to crack. From what I've been told, the cracks do not effect the performance. I continue to recommend these heaters to friends.

Answer:	Where do you live? Has it now turned warmer there? One of the last times I used my heater, about a month ago, it only ran for about 15 minutes and then turned itself off. I happen to have a couple small thermometers in my bedroom, so I noticed the temp was warmer than the 68 setting I had the unit turned onto. I did use it a couple times after that in the bathroom which is on a very shady side of the house and the heater worked like normal. So I think it's just smart enough to know when it's not needed. This is just a guess on my part.

Answer:	Warm is OK. Hot is not. Even 1-2 watts of power dissipation will warm a plug sufficiently that you can feel it, but is perfectly safe. Given that this heater draws 1,500 W, it's likely that this amount of power is being dissipated at the plug. The very small resistance where the plug touches the socket contacts is sufficient to cause this. And given that the purpose of this device is to generate heat, it's not like it's 'waste' heat either!

Question:	I live in a uninsulated 2 car garage. Would this heater be powerful enough to warm a 40°F space through the night into the morning
Answer:	I suppose that would also mean you are warmly dressed or have plenty of covers if you are sleeping there and how tight the garage is. If you run it all the time at the highest power it will eventually heat the room to a point where you won't be freezing during the day, and at night for sleeping it will be plenty warm. I move mine wherever I need it as the parabolic mirror points the heat right at you. So if I move from the sofa to the big chair at the opposite side of the room I turn or even move the heater. The cord is long enough so that you can move it around without unplugging it every time you move it. Usually I do not want to heat the whole room which is very large, bigger than your garage, and I do not want to use the heat pump to attempt to do so. No portable heater will have more than 1500 BTUs, this one will put the heat where you want it unlike most which just heat the air right around it.
Question:	The caution light keeps coming on and the unit shuts off. What is going on and is there a recall on these
Answer:	I have the same problem with this heater also. It shuts down after just a few minutes on high and doesn't come back on until it cools down and then you have to manually turn in back on at the lower setting. I am not going to try and fix it but I will solve any future problems with this fan by not ever buying another one and I would not recommend this fan to anyone....It is very annoying!
Question:	How high is this heater at its minimum height setting
Answer:	The top of the heater is approximately 33" from the floor at the minimum height setting.
Question:	It worked fine in the beginning, but now there are times it just shuts off for no reason. Why does it do that
Answer:	I love my Optimus. Mine works great and only shuts off when it reaches the pre-set temp or when the timer shuts it off.
