Answer:	It does have your fan noise but not obnoxious or like it's struggling. Ours maintains the fan speed and puts out great heat. Love ours.

Answer:	This item is safe for use around pet birds. Birds cannot fit through the wire mesh that covers the front of this item. Hence, its safe. The heat must however be adequately and proportionately regulated. Thanks!

Question:	Is it kid friendly? Will it burn your hand if you touch it? I have really curious children that loves to touch everything, even when you tell them not
Answer:	I am not sure that it would not burn a child's hand. That said, I don't think a casual brush against the front would cause a burn. The heater is a radiant heater. It is designed to radiate the heat out and heat objects and the space in front of it without getting extremely hot itself. Caution would always be prudent though.
