| Answer: | The heater does not have any mounting holes. The internal fan, which is quite a good size (and VERY quite), draws in air from the back through an approx. 5" round vent. With this in mind, the fan could be placed on a small wall hanging shelf (that would allow the rear fan vent to draw in air without obstruction; given that the back of the heater would have at least 2-3 inches of clearance). It would be very "do-able" and very easy to construct. In my opinion, using wood as material should not create any safety concerns, as the ENTIRE plastic housing is not even warm when the unit is on. Great question and idea! |

| Answer: | There are ways around this. For instance I have it partially under my desk in an area where there is some air flow eddy. That particular area will reach 75 deg. long before the rest of the room reaches 65. Careful placement of the heater, and direction it is facing can create head feedback customized to trip the thermostat sooner. If you place it in the center of the room, it will heat the room to 75. If you place it in a corner FACING the corner it will shut itself down sooner, and the room will be cooler than 75. |

If the heater falls on its face, the thermostat and the thermistor will shut the heater off. If the thermistor gets caked with dust, the heater will become less efficient, and the thermistor cannot be reached directly for cleaning. Use some Dustoff or something like it to blow into the output grille. That could help. But do not use too much Dustoff indoors, because it has butane and propane and too much of those, well, BOOM! Keep it really clean somehow and it will last well. |
