We vacuum them occasionally, and twice a year we pull the grills off and clean them more thoroughly. All but one are doing fine. The one that is starting to fail is in our main bathroom. We think it's failing due to all the moisture in there since we have three teens lined up every morning for hot showers. Even then, that one's lasted 14 or 15 years, and we're replacing it with another just like it as part of a larger remodel (along with better ventilation). All the other heaters are working fine, including the ones we bought in the late 90's. I'm happy with these heaters, and plan to stick with the King brand. |

| Answer: | Mine quit working as well due to poor quality. I noticed that there was a thin strip of tape around the body of the unit about 5/8 of an inch from the end. I needed a magnifying glass and tweezers to find the end of the tape. I pulled off the tape and found two very small Phillips head screws (#00). Very carefully remove the screws and again, carefully lift the end away from the unit taking care not to pull out the wires. I found corrosion there and cleaned it with a very small SS wire brush. I reassembled the unit and now it works. Be sure to turn the switch off before starting! Hope this helps. |

| Answer: | No. There are 3 "interfaces". 1) There's an On/Off switch in the tailcap for safety. When it's on the "Off" position, nothing works on the flashlight. Turn the switch to the "On" position, you have to locate a separate slide switch. 2) That slide switch has 3 positions - Off/Flashlight/Stungun. Sliding the switch from Off to Flashlight will illuminate the flashlight. Sliding the switch from Flashlight to Stungun will turn the flashlight off but it will arm the Stungun. You can also slide the switch from Off to Stungun directly but the flashlight will remain OFF 3) Once the slide switch is in the Stungun position, a third interface, which is a button that needs to be pressed, will cause a menacing spark to arc across the metal probes. |

| Answer: | It doesn't matter. For one thing, lol at the troll with the "minivolts". I thought he really believed it until he got into how they travel better than regular volts. Secondly, unless you know electrical engineering fairly well, (admittedly better than me) a single measure of amps or volts tells you almost nothing about any type of device's actual power. All electric devices need to be compared in total output power, such as watts (or KW,) BTUs, lumens lux, candela, etc. In the case of stun guns (Actual experts please correct me if I'm wrong) that's best measured in microcoulombs (μc). You want at bare bones minimum 0.5, but over 1.0 is more ideal. I will qualify that I am not an electrician or engineer, and this is only information I've accumulated through research. |

The Slim Line heater was specifically designed as a space-saving replacement for baseboard heaters, allowing you to reclaim up to 8 linear feet of valuable wall space. The unique slim surface-mounted wall can allows the heater to be mounted directly in contact with the finished floor (unlike other fan heaters that require to be installed at least 4″ above the floor). The Pic-A-Watt feature allows a customers to select from a range of wattage options, tailoring the heater to an area’s specific heating requirements. Baseboard conversion made simple. 2′ Baseboard = 500W; 3′ = 750W; 4′ = 1000W; 5′ = 1250W; 6′ = 1500W; 8′ = 1750W; 10′ = 2250W.

The alCove Series cove heater provides warmth from above. A space-saving radiant heater that also produces convection heat by heating the air similar to a baseboard. By combining the quick comfort of radiant heat along with the sustained warmth of convection heat, warm air is uniformly dispersed throughout the room. The cove heater is mounted near the ceiling, eliminating furniture placement problems. Surface temperatures are lower than baseboard or fan heaters, making a pleasant form of heat similar to older ceiling cable heating systems. | Answer: | I have 3 of these on my boat and they work great. The heater isn’t influenced by the thermostat’s closeness to the heater. Mine are installed just above the floor in different rooms. Two of the heaters are original to the boat build in 1987 all are high quality and fairly quite and won’t disturb sleeping when operating. |
