Answer:	We have 2 of these, they work pretty well for the money. The digital thermostat moves up or down by 1 degree at a time.

Answer:	As others have said, there is no safety switch - I think this is a Underwrites Lab requirement for sale in U.S. Tip it or move it and it keeps humming away.

Answer:	Yes it does. People who claim it to be quiet, must be deaf. It makes the same amount of noise as an average house fan. I'm pretty sensitive to noise, but with the tv or music on you won't notice it. I can sleep very well with it on.

Answer:	There is no timer. The only noise it ever makes is the the very first time the oil inside heats up on the first use, and its first use after seasonal storage. This low popping noise lasts for a couple minutes and then its quiet. After that its silent every time you turn it on and use it.
Question:	Is it eco friendly? To where it can automatically switch to a lower setting once it has reached the desired temperature? Or is it always on full blast
Answer:	If you run it on the highest setting, it uses 1500 watts per hour which is 1.5 kilowatts. Our power company charges 7 cents per KWH (kilowatt hour) so if we run it on high for an hour, it costs us 10.5 cents an hour. If you use the lower settings, you use lower watts so the cost is less. Your electric bill should tell you how much you are being charged per KWH.

Answer:	Copied from somewhere else: "The ComforTemp setting is ideal for maintaining room temperature and saving on energy usage. The ComforTemp setting runs the heater at a preset temperature of 72 degrees F—set by the ComforTemp mode—and can provide you with up to 27% on energy usage." So basically it automatically stops the heater when the room temp reaches 72F.

Answer:	I used this 24/7 during 2 typical Ohio winters minus 10F-40F in a 24 X14 room with no heat and no insulation. Worked well to keep the room warm but only lasted through 2 winters and then stopped working.
