Answer:	We have 2 of these, they work pretty well for the money. The digital thermostat moves up or down by 1 degree at a time.

Answer:	As others have said, there is no safety switch - I think this is a Underwrites Lab requirement for sale in U.S. Tip it or move it and it keeps humming away.

Answer:	It will cycle on & off ..based on temp u set it for...just like ur home heating system should. If it keeps u awake u must b one of the worlds lightest sleepers...it is v quiet operating.
Question:	How 'tall' is the heater? Does it compare with the Lasko
Answer:	Is 16" tall(back)X 6"(front), don't know the (5588). I use it for a 16' x 20' room with poor insulation and it's fine down to 40's, below that it needs to be bigger. I like the oscillation, which helps. It replaced a (6251) model I had.
