Answer:	Not at all, it’s long enough so not near fire while flipping logs. Unless you leave it in the fire for a very long period of time.

Answer:	Yes, it did come with the loop. It is removable. Perhaps some folks didn’t like the loop. We like it, it’s a nice sturdy set.

Question:	I have an outdoor fireplace I need a tool set for. Can this set be kept outside, exposed to rain and snow
Answer:	The Burnished Black Iron Gate 5-Pc. tool set is not rated for outdoor use. The only tool sets that can be used outdoors are the Newport Toolset 18092 and Sinclair Toolset 18081. Pilgrim recommends storing the toolset away from any rain/snow when not in use for long periods of time. Rain should be fine, but long exposure to snow will speed rusting.
