Answer:	Add me to the group! I purchased this iron a year ago. A year and TEN days ago. I know this because this morning when water started pouring out of my iron, I had to look up the date of purchase, so I could use my spiffy one year warranty. So much for that!! One year, and this pretty expensive iron is broken, ten days after the warranty expires. I am beyond frustrated, reading that this has happened to others who purchased one of these irons. My last iron was $12 at Walmart and lasted 15 years, four moves, 2 children, and a serviceman who wore BDU's, which needed to be ironed, five days a week. Get the warranty!!

Answer:	I had the 5080. It worked well for a long time, but finally stopped producing steam. I next bought the 8080, used it for almost 6 years, and it still works. I treated myself to a new iron with the 9280. It is an excellent iron, the steam output is electronically controlled by the fabric selection you choose, thereby taking the guesswork out of manually controlling the amount of steam you use. The LED indicator for type of fabric is a nice feature, so you don’t have to check on the setting on the dial/switch. If you can afford it, and want to make ironing an easier task get the 9280. It is a real nice piece of equipment.

Answer:	I say NO, and that is why I am even looking at this page. I bought mine in Aug, 2016. It does have the screw at the bottom, which allows you to slide down a clip. The problem lies in the plastic trim ring that goes around the whole edge of grille. It essentially locks in and seals the front and back grilles together. It does not give much leeway. I just spent 20 minutes trying to separate it- pop one grille out or just slide the trim ring off to either side. I tried it with two screwdrivers. Didn't work and I was afraid of busting the rim. Perhaps some of these other people who had it "easy" had a slightly different model/year. If you put this fan in any room with any humidity (maybe that's WHY you bought it in the first place??) then you ARE gonna have a rusted grille. Have fun getting metal dust in the air when you take that brush to clean the grille.

Answer:	i have had my steamer for about 9 months and I use it all the time. There is no melting, or rusting of any parts. There are also no mechanical failure problems. This is a great machine and well worth the money I invested. My ironing board is very lonesome now. :)

DG8520 also has on/off switch (for previous models without built in on/off switch - its possible to plug into power strip with on/off switch) which previous models do not... along with larger water tank. Both can be filled with water without unit having to be cooled down. Just refill and keep on pressing! ;)I've owned several of the last 3 models (for my sewing business - these Rowenta iron steam stations can be your best friend - saves time for repetitive motions)... and like the DG8520 the best. Answer:	The Rowenta DA1560 that I had started smoking and a terrible smell came from the iron. It didn't actually have flames coming out of it, but I unplugged it before that could happen. I did replace the one that was defective with another Rowenta DA1560 and I have not had any problems.

Answer:	Utility sink faucets are usually fitted with the same threads as hose bibbs. A washing machine supply line has a female connector on each end. Connect the washer hose to the utility sink faucet, connect the garden hose to the other end of the washing machine hose. I cannot guess why you want to do this, but knock yourself out!

Answer:	I have not, however...the fact that this filter only needs replacing every 3 years helps me reason out the cost to be just over $10 a year for the filter so that really is not bad. And I try to take the front off every couple weeks and I use my vacuum hose with the round brush attachment and clean the front of the screen filter & the black filter behind it. ( We have cats so it gets dust & fur collected) This helps stretch the hepa filter changing to the 3 years. This is the best air purifier in my opinion. Hope that helps. :)
