Answer:	The reason people keep asking how many is that Kaz the company that sells these filters under the Honeywell name decided that rather than make many sizes of filters the would make one small filter and then owners could buy multiple filters and stack them to fit. Problem is the original filters were not made in even multiples so a 50250 needs three filters and a gasket to make up the space of the original one filter element design. On paper this sounded good to Kaz, in practice most people will now buy one aftermarket filter.
