Answer:	I talked to Jessica from Austin Air today and she said they were incredibly busy shipping those air purifiers to California due to the wild fires. So they do ship to California. However, some SELLERS may not ship to that location. Try another Seller.
Question:	Curious about color. I was told white is more matte, sandstone is more shiny. Is this true, and can anyone give more detail about the difference

Answer:	Mine does this occasionally, especially after switching from a higher fan speed to a lower one. It usually normalizes within a few minutes though.

Answer:	I was very happy with this kite. It's very big and that tail is as long as it looks. Fun to fly. I like to fly my kites pretty high and the string on this is like the normal length. I added more string. Fishing line works great also because you can fly higher and the tension wont break the line. I love this kite. Nobody else has one like it around here. I ordered it and got it pretty fast. Totally happy. I also bought a big butterfly and i'm happy with that one too. This kite goes up easy and is fun to watch the tail swish around behind it for a mile -- lol

Answer:	You are right. The main image is incorrect. However, the thumbprint image shows the correct illustration. So someone down the line (or the initial listing Seller) uploaded the incorrect image. Question:	I have a black healthmate. Does it make a difference of you get the white or black filter There seems to be a jump in price for the black one
Answer:	I contacted Austin directly about this. It's purely an aesthetic issue: If you have a lighter colored Healthmate (sandstone, white, etc.) you will need the white filter so as not to have black showing through the perforations around the unit; if your unit is a darker color, then you will need the black filter for a comparable reason. The filters themselves are 100% completely identical as far as composition and performance are concerned.

Answer:	LIke most, there are fan speeds. Pretty sure there is three. Only on high is the air loud. The unit itself is pretty amazing. Also own blue air (500?). Both excellent units. Upkeep on health mate definitely cheaper. Blue air filters $80 every six months.

Question:	Is this air purifier a energy star saver unit? Is it very expensive to run
Answer:	I am not sure if it's an energy star saver unit... There is no sticker stating that it is. However, it is very inexpensive to run. Ours runs on medium 24/7 along with the rabbit air, air purifier and the change in our electric bill is minuscule!
Question:	how about bed smoking smell? Is it working for this
Answer:	If you meant "bad" smoking smell, I would say "yes" it works to eradicate smoking smell from the air. My father smokes and unless I'm right in his presence when he's doing it, I don't smell it. I would say "yes." In general, yes, it works well for that. Pet smells, too, by the way. I have a dog, it doesn't smell in her room. Cuts down on the dust all through the (small) house. I'm glad I invested in one!
Question:	How do I know when to change the filter? Someone else used mine for a year, and now it's quite loud. Is that a sign a new filter is needed
Answer:	I don't think it is the filter, try to remove the filter and put on the machine to see if it changes............usually loud noise is a sign of motor replacement or maybe something happened to the fangood luck.

Answer:	Replace it as others have described, but you must clean the pre-filter every 6-12 months in most applications, especially if you have pets, smoke, or otherwise generate a lot of particulates. The inner canister filter is massive, and in many cases it will last the full five years (mine have). However, you should 1) vacuum the outside of the machine every month or so, 2) open it and remove/clean the wrap-around prefilter every 6-12 months (wash in a tub or sink, and hang dry, or replace with something similar from local stores), 3) vacuum the outside of the big filter every year or so to remove what dust you can. It is not that difficult to do, but the unit is heavy and must be turned upside down to open. To me, it is worth it because the main filter is so good. Mechanically, the units are solidly built, but you could have a motor or motor start capacitor failure after several years. That is something you can probably have replaced by a good electrical shop, if you have one. You can send it in for repair, but it is rather expensive and might not be worth it. Not unlike all other larger filters I've seen.
