Question:	Can you use the fan without the thermostat feature? I don't want it going on and off all night long
Answer:	I think the other replies were with older models? I just purchased this model and there's no issue with opting out of the thermostat feature. As noted in the instructions, to get to continous air flow, you just keep clicking the button through the modes (first you click throught the various thermostat temperatures, and then you get to "high" or "low" as options. If you click high or low either one will stay on continously. Both options are extremely quiet. It sounds like the person who had a louid nose on the low setting had a defective fan.
Question:	I want to use this in a stand-alone one room dance studio with only one window. If it's very hot outside, will this really keep it cool inside
Answer:	It’s not an AC unit so it will only be as cool (or slightly less hot) as the air from the source. That being said you could use this fan on Exhaust to suck hot air out and use a tower fan to create a breeze in the room. But to cool a room on a 90+ degree day, I’d recommend a window AC. This fan will circulate air tho, so it’s not a bad place to start.
Question:	I need the CFM and decibel (noise) ratings on this fan. These are my two most crucial criteria, but no one shows them
Answer:	This is our second window fan. I don't remember what brand/model etc our first fan was, but the CFM WAS WAY higher than this Holmes fan. My assumption is by lowering the maximum fan speed & thus drastically lower the CFM, they can advertise the fan as being quieter and using less energy. ***We have used this fan for 2 years and we DO NOT recommend it if you are looking for a high CFM (volume) fan***

Answer:	I’ve been using an older version of this fan for about 20, yup, 20 years. I use it in a garage studio. Sometimes it runs for months 24/7. It’s slowing down, tons of dirt and mysterious things on it. While it is exhaling i spray wd30 on it till it speeds up again, lol. I have absolutely punished this fan. But like I said, I run it all year, summer and winter. One side died about 4 years ago, but the other is running as we speak. The reason I saw this is because I was looking to see if they still made it. Yay they do; and it is very quiet. Next paycheck I’m getting a new one. I love the intake exhaust function,brilliant! So happy they’re still available. Can’t go wrong, and not a lot of money.

Answer:	The cord comes out the middle in a small gap and can either direction. This is so you can reverse the fan. So either way you have the fan installed (intake or outtake). The cord can come inside or outside if you wish.

It Exhausts; it removes stale air from the room. 3. It circulates; it operates fans in opposing directions creating air circulation and room ventilation. I used it a couple of times this spring and all features work as advertised. I am, however, waiting for our (state of Georgia) extremely hot and humid weather to see if it will cool my bedroom to my liking; but, with this unusual cool weather we've been having, it's taking longer to really tell if my fan will do the main job I purchased it to do. Answer:	The actual battery life of the doorbell depends on the number of wakeups and accesses per day and of course, the recording time will also matter. Usually, in standby mode, it can last for over 3 months(10 times wake-up per day). And it can wake up at least 1000 times when it is fully charged. Besides, as this product uses PIR thermal detection, there are two triggering principles: 1) when there is a temperature difference, 2) when there is a moving object. So we recommend not to place the doorbell too close to the street or the crowds, in order to avoid unnecessary wake-ups due to the temperature differences caused by the vehicles or personnel passing. *Please install the doorbell camera in a place that is away from direct sunlight or street lights for better performance.

Answer:	I use this exhaust fan for 300 Sq. Ft. room and it works great. As far how many Cubic Ft. it's designed for, I would recommend you direct the question directly to the manufacturer. But, if this helps at all, I tried a conversion calculator and found it to be about just over 11 Cubic Feet. Hope this helps. Otherwise, contact the manufacturer for more accurate answer(s).

Traditional window fans are held in place by closing the window down onto the fan. Adjustable Settings and Powerful Motor

Question:	Is this fan considered and exhust fan: pulling hot air hout only
Answer:	The fan can either pull air in, or, can exhaust the air. We use it all the time on exhaust...open the windows just upstairs, say, at night, and the fan sucks in the cooler night air through the open windows. I usually open some downstairs windows just a bit and it cools the entire house pretty well.
Question:	Is this fan reversible
Answer:	Yes it is, and it's just as powerful both ways. I use it all summer to draw air through my house and when I reverse it from that, I get a wonderful blast of air.
Question:	What is meant by mounting the fan so it can't vibrate? Must it be screwed into the window casing or can lower the window and padding on the sides
Answer:	I did not screw the fan into the window casing. I simply installed a 2x2 wood bar and tucked the fan under the bar as a support. Removal is also easy with this method. I have no noise issues other than the normal fan sound itself. See my review with pictures in December if you need more info on how I set mine up.
Question:	Are these enough to cool off a hot attic
Answer:	As long as you have another window to open elsewhere in the attic, they move a lot of air really fast. i have mine in an upstairs window and if i have a couple of windows open on the other side of the house i only have to turn the fan on for 15 minutes and by then all the air in the house has been swapped out with cool fresh air from out side, (i run mine 15 minutes a night and draw the cool air inside instead of using an air conditioner.
