Answer:	It is significantly quieter than a Lasko 20" box fan on the same setting and distance(low, ~2 feet away.) On top of that, this fan collimates air(like a laser does to light, keeping it straight) out to(claimed) 50 feet. Sound follows the "inverse square law": double the distance, quarter the volume; 3x d = 1/9 v, 4x d = 1/16 v, and so on. So move it far away and enjoy the quiet.

Answer:	Yes - If the 16ft standard line sets aren't long enough for where you plan to install your inside units, Senville will replace them with whatever length you need for an additional cost. 16ft was enough for one of my inside units, but I needed 35ft for the second one & 50ft for the third one. They only send 14/4 communication wire with the 16ft line sets so I bought 100ft from a big box home improvement store that sells DIY mini-splits. Worked perfectly. Just make sure the total length of your lines sets doesn't exceed the maximum length for the unit & that the vertical "drop" from the highest inside unit to the location on the ground where the outside unit will be sitting doesn't exceed the maximum either. In the U.S., outside units are charged with enough R410A Freon for a 25ft line set for each inside unit. The total length of my 3 line sets was 101ft (16+35+50) & my outside unit was charged for 75ft (25x3), so I needed to add R410A for an additional 26ft (101-75) - which was approximately 1/2lb. The amount of additional R410A you need to add for each additional foot can be found in the installation manual for the outside unit you buy. You can buy small cans of R410A made for "topping off" new systems when situations like this arise on eBay.

Answer:	It is a quiet fan. My husband and I sleep with white noise and use a white noise machine. We tried the fan without added white noise, and for us it was too quiet. We still use our white noise machine.The fan as a mover of air, however, is fantastic the way it moves and circulates air within a room.
Question:	How is the face attached for easy removal to clean
Answer:	The face is rigid metal and is attached by prongs that fit into several holes around the frame. To be honest, I've found it difficult to remove; I've used a screw driver and also a case knife to help dislodge it but found a wooden spoon is safest (and will be less likely to scratch the surface). It's a great fan, very sturdy and it gets the air moving, plus it looks cool, giving any room a retro feel. I'd buy it again. If you decide to purchase one, just be careful and patient when removing the face. I've found that with regular use it needs a good cleaning about once every 60 days.

Answer:	It cannot be angled -- you're right, it is in a fixed position. But I believe the other small model can be tilted.

Answer:	I have small shed where I work on my motorcycle. It was 104 in there today, used it with no problems

Answer:	The tripod does not adjust for height. It is about 12 inches or so from the ground when the fan is on it. It is not really an issue because of the way Vornado fans works. It does not need to be up high or blow directly on you. It cools the whole room because of the way it directs airflow.

Answer:	My fan shipped with the clamp and a stand. The other nice thing is that the cage acts as a stand as well. I move mine around from machine to machine all the time and it is nice.

Answer:	Only if you have a very sturdy wall shelf that’s at least six inches in width, eight would be safer, give it more clearance.

Answer:	I have no idea as to RPMs but I do know it does not blow so hard as to blow your hair back. However it has a unique airflow that is gentle, seems to wrap around your body and my wife loves it. She uses it in the bedroom to cool her side of the bed without it blowing on me.

Answer:	The Vornado products offered in the U.S. are designed for a 120 volt / 60 hertz power system. If you use them with a voltage converter to change your 240 volts to 120, the converter will not convert your 50 hertz to 60 and the motor will run slower and hotter than it should. This will cause premature failure of the motor and this is not covered by the warranty.

Answer:	Yes: the fan has a mechanical speed knob, which goes from OFF -- HI -- MED -- LOW. If you unplug (or power is cut,) then the fan will resume at the current knob position's setting once power is restored to it.

Answer:	Hello, The fan doesn't have a driven movement like a table fan. It manually can be pivoted on the stand. We own several Vornado product because of their quality. The concept of them is in how they move air. They shoot a long cone shaped tunnel of air which you can aim at the upper corner of a room (or ceiling) using the stationery pivot feature and air will gently and efficiently move thoughout the room. This fan is their most heavy duty and is powerful enough, without needing to be on high, to even push air up a staircase or across my basement. If you go to their website Vornado.com they explain it better than I can. BTW we own a 10 year old Vornado which we use daily!

Answer:	100% yes. I have owned all sorts of Vornado’s going back 16 years that still work. This one is the hardest blowing and loudest fan. All Vornados blow hard but this one is the top daddy from Vornado. The Chrome one is very nice (large) but does not blow as hard as this soecific model. Approx 70Db’s @ 2 ft distance.

Answer:	I'm unable to answer the question, because our Vornado has not fallen down. I can say that our family is happy with the purchase for two reasons: First it adequately cycles the air (helping to cool down the area). Second: the Company that manufactures the Vornado replaced our Vornado after it stopped working. I don't recall the warranty period; but it was a good lengthy number of years. I am very satisfied. But again, I can't answer your auto-shut off question.
