The 2018 model of the same fan was slightly updated and the light does shut off after a short time. We love both fans since they both work incredibly cooling whole rooms instead of just one area.

Answer:	You have to specify the model of your fan when you ask a question like this. Not all Holmes fan will use the same glass fuse. This glass fuse measures 3.6 (outer diameter) and 10 mm (length) and has a 5A rating. Take out the dead fuse from your Holmes fan. Measure it. You can find the amperage marking on the fuse itself.
