Answer:	Yes - If the 16ft standard line sets aren't long enough for where you plan to install your inside units, Senville will replace them with whatever length you need for an additional cost. 16ft was enough for one of my inside units, but I needed 35ft for the second one & 50ft for the third one. They only send 14/4 communication wire with the 16ft line sets so I bought 100ft from a big box home improvement store that sells DIY mini-splits. Worked perfectly. Just make sure the total length of your lines sets doesn't exceed the maximum length for the unit & that the vertical "drop" from the highest inside unit to the location on the ground where the outside unit will be sitting doesn't exceed the maximum either. In the U.S., outside units are charged with enough R410A Freon for a 25ft line set for each inside unit. The total length of my 3 line sets was 101ft (16+35+50) & my outside unit was charged for 75ft (25x3), so I needed to add R410A for an additional 26ft (101-75) - which was approximately 1/2lb. The amount of additional R410A you need to add for each additional foot can be found in the installation manual for the outside unit you buy. You can buy small cans of R410A made for "topping off" new systems when situations like this arise on eBay.

Question:	Are the fan noises high-pitched
Answer:	I have had mine since Oct 2, 2014 - I often had to check to be sure it was still working because I was not hearing it. The first of this year (2016), it did begin making loud fan noises when I started my laptop & often I would just unplug until laptop was running. But now (Jan, 2017) the noise has stopped.Other than the noise it made earlier this year, I have had no problems with it & it is still working as well as it did when I first purchased it 10/02/14. Plus I use my laptop with the fan 8 hours or longer almost every day.---Some people may get lemons but that is the case no matter what you buy. - As for me, mine is fantastic.

Answer:	It'll fit just fine if your backpack says it will fit 17" laptops. As for the fan problem it's because the fan bearings get dirty and dry, you have to blow out the fans with a can of air and then take the sticker off the back of the offending fan making noise and put a drop of 3-in-1 oil into the bearing reservoir every now and then. The cramped space makes this a bit of a PITA but it can be done.

Answer:	If it fails within 1 year, go on the Targus website and send them a message explaining what's wrong and they will replace or repair it for you, after you pay to ship it to them. It took about a month for me to get mine back from them.

Note, that the fans are not movable in any direction, so it might be wise to consider a model, where you can regulate the exact position of the fan, so it is enhancing the airflow to the laptop.

Answer:	If you have a few small tools and basic soldering knowledge, you can short out the LEDs and keep the fans on without them. The LED packages are on the circuit board below the fan blades which can be accessed by removing the mesh cover then unscrewing the fans. I made this mod because of a sensitivity to blue LED light in my household.

Answer:	Yes. If you hold down the button that changes the light patterns it will turn the lights off. The "power" button however turns the fans off but not the lights. So you can have either just the lights on or just the fans on or have both on.

Answer:	Well...short answer is because it's not actually connected to your computer for data transfer (of which both of those things are). It's just power going from your computer to the pad, and nothing going the other way. If you have a newer mac with a USB-C (Thunderbolt) port...there are some great "docking stations" out there for $40-70 bucks that will serve you better. This is the one I have...I run 2 extended displays, usb mouse and keyboard, plus charge my phone. Answer:	Under 5watts, so, 0.2amps or so. Can't tell you startup spike, but, its low power. My meter can't detect under 1amp accurately :(
Question:	What is the maximim distance between the two fans
Answer:	Yes it does. I have the 600t in white, this fan fits perfectly to replace the top exhaust fan. In terms of replacing the front intake fan it works but not like the oem fan due to the screw holes being on the side they are on. All you need to make it work are longer screws that can reach the screw holes on the fan.

Answer:	I have an older version of this product and have been able to use it on my lap without any serious issues. Over time the frame can become uncomfortable on the thighs but it is not slip-slidey or anything and the adjustable height is nice for different comfort positions.
Question:	why is this having 2 USB ports
Answer:	It looks like one port is to supply power to it and the second is to permit you to chain a USB device such as a mouse of a cell phone. Why did they go for the funky typeA to typeA rather than a more normal microusb? No clue, but as confusing as it is it does appear to work. To be clear, for the purpose of plugging USB devices into it, there is only ONE port, the second is to provide power to the fans.
Question:	is there a way to turn the lights off? while fans still run
Answer:	NO!! This is very misleading. There is NO WAY to turn off the FAN LEDs. Holding the + only turns off the two "decorative" blue lights down by the display, but the fan LEDs stay on.
Question:	Can it suck a golfball through a garden hose
Answer:	It depends upon the mass of the golf ball and the length and diameter of the hose. I personally conducted testing to determine whether it could in fact do so. The results were somewhat disappointing with a standard-sized garden hose (1" diameter and 50-foot length), and a PGA regulation golf ball. However, results were more favorable when using a Nerf brand golf ball, and a six-inch long stretch of 4-inch diameter PVC ventilation hose. Now, if you seriously want to know whether this device works as advertised, I would say definitely yes. I am using it 24x7 to cool a TiVo Bolt whose design makes it tend to run very hot, and it has reduced the operating temperature significantly.
