Question:	Is this good for smokers
Answer:	The HEPA filter will remove quite a bit of smoke but it won't last near as long in a smoky environment, Using the ionizer might be a bad idea for smokers. The ionizer will change the smoke into a substance that will stick to everything more vigorously than usual. The odor from the remnants of ionized smoke is sticky and more pungent after it has collected on nearby objects over time, and it's MUCH harder to wipe away.
Question:	how often do you have to change the filter
Answer:	We live in rural northern Alabama where there is a lot of pollen and cotton/corn fields; 6 to 7 months is the maximum we can go on a single filter. We use the HAPF300AP-U4 filters which claim to last 12 months but air flow is significantly reduced by 6 months; going any longer would probably put an unnecessary strain on the motor and shorten the life of the purifier. My children have severe allergies; so we immediately know when the filters need to be changed.
Question:	Would this be good in an office enviroment to put on my desk to eliminate cologne and perfume smells
Answer:	I realize this question is a couple of years old, but for other potential buyers--I've been running this on my desk on high for over a year and have never had any comments or complaints from callers. It's next to my laptop and appx 1.5-2' from me, and I've never had any issues. I don't have issues with strong colognes or perfumes, but the air in my home office is always noticeably fresher than the air in the rest of my home and I have open windows/moderate-heavy pollen most of the year. (I'm here now for unit #2.)

Answer:	Yes, it does come with its own HEPA filter. However, when I replace mine I just buy one of those HVAC home 12 by 25inch pleated filters from Home Depot to replace them with. They are much cheaper and do a good job.

Answer:	Most plug ins on cars turn off it the car is off. There is (as stated previously) an accessory mode. That normally requires the a key in the ignition... at least in older cars. My Jeep has two plug ins though. One is always on, one is standard. You may have this too if it doesn’t turn off with the vehicle. Check the manual to see for sure.

HEPA filter remove 99.97% of particles above 0.3 micrometers, and PM2.5 are right around 2.5 micrometers, so this would be extremely effective at doing so. This is true of all HEPA filters though, nothing special here.

Answer:	It comes with 1 HEPA filter (1 year est.) and 1 carbon filter (6 month est.) Based on the reviews though, the filter tend to lasts longer than the estimate.

Answer:	The Coway AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier does not emit ozone. It does not have an ionizer. The other answers saying it does, or saying it does when the ionizer is turned on, are apparently referring to a different model, which Amazon in its wisdom has lumped together with the Mighty.

What I have for sale is 1 Air Purifier Filter, model HRF-H1. It is the HEPA filter and not a pre-filter. The "TGT" in your product code just means that the original filter was marketed through a Target store. All of the HPA-050-XXX models are the same and use this HEPA filter. Hope this helps.

Answer:	dead4red answered your question but I just want to emphasize the need to stick with what the manufacturer suggests for sq footage. I bought this model in 2013 for our bedroom after my allergies really got much worse and my allergist told me to rip up carpeting and replace with area rugs that can be washed (cotton), cover the mattress/boxspring/pillows with quality allergy protectants, take down curtains, and buy a Germ Guardian HEPA air purifier. I did all but thought it may not matter that this model is too small for our bedroom. Yes, I slept better but finally decided to get a model that actually covers the area. And it made a huge difference. If your allergies are not that bad and/or you just want to get rid of smells or something, then you're not in the same league as me. But if you have the allergies that I have and it is very problematic, don't do what I did initially-be cheap. Instead, cough up (not literally) an extra $50-$100 and get the model that manufacturer recommends.
Question:	It says 155 Sq foot room, which I didn't realize. I am planning on using it for a 225 sq foot room(15x15)... will it still be useful
Answer:	I have an older AC4825 and I have a constant red light above the GermGuardian label. When I reset the light via holding the UV light button for 3 or 5 seconds, nothing changes. This troubleshooting is not in their manual ... Any thoughts?

Answer:	Hello, I just received my unit. I plugged it in and the Power Light was flashing red AND the blue UV-C light was flashing. Resetting the unit by pushing and holding in the UV-C Button changed the power light to green but the UV-C light is still flashing. Any suggestions? Possibly the bulb was damaged in transit and needs replaced? Thanks for any help!

Answer:	The hepa filter is not washable, I use the charcoal black filters that they sell with the hepa filter or seperate, I use my shop vac and once a week I use the shop vac to remove the dust etc out of the filters you can feel the suction from the other side. I have reused one chrcol filter for 3 weeks now whem.I use to replace once a week, the air quality is just as clean as a new one. I use one filter for 4 weeks with a good shop vac sessiononce a week. I have respiratory disease and my inside air quality monitor showd the air quality the same with a shop vac cleaned 4-week filter as it does with this brand new filter.

Answer:	I have my purifier in my bird room and there is always lots of bird dander. I have dust accumulation all over my purifier and clean it once a week. I believe this is normal because I have owned many purifiers and they all have dander/dust on the exit ports. This is the best purifier of all my previous purifiers. Would buy again.

Answer:	the honeycomb filter are permanent! This air purifier use static to trap microparticles. That's why there's all those holes. After a few months you should rinse it in water. You will be surprised how much dirty it sucked up. I've had a few of this fan over the last many years, and performance go back to day 1 after you wash it. Word of caution: when taking out unplug so you don't get zapped by the built-up charges

Answer:	The HRF-C1 works only for the V9070 and V9071 Vicks air cleaners.

Answer:	my best guess it will not but check your model number and model numbers that this filter will fit

Answer:	If your going down this road, here's a little information. Look at the MERV rating, how much surface area you are getting vs. price, if it has fiberglass (where it seems 3M Filtrete hasn't any but research this for yourself to know), look at the image description to see how much work you will do, but there are also other options like the "3M Particulate Filter 5N11" it is rated for N95 but it requires a 3m respirator mask as well as it's housing unit (2 pieces, can't remember name at the moment but it's here), not sure though but maybe the 5n11 can be used by itself but this requires some thought about DIY mask making.
