Answer:	The back doesn't need access to air. But this almost certainly won't work for your use case. Because air in a vent is constantly moving, the "effective volume" of air you're trying to pull humidity out of is massive. This is for confined spaces where air isn't flowing. In your use case you won't notice any difference at all. There are products made specifically for what you're describing...unfortunately they are orders of magnitude more expensive than this item.

Answer:	I agree with Gina. In my case, I had a lot of moisture with my old, single-pane windows and, come to find out, my furnace had an automatic humidifier on it so I shut that off and now use other, less "wet" methods for humidifying only the areas in use, in the winter. So, moisture around the windows lets me know that I'm humidifying too much.
Question:	I don't understand where you place it to "recharge". Putting it outside in -5 degrees is not an option. Where have others placed it? Thanks
Answer:	Just plug it into any wall outlet. It generates a small but harmless amount of heat. "Recharging" is an imprecise term. What you are doing is actually heating up the device with a small internal heating element, which dries out the silica dessicant inside the frame, which, when "charged" or more correctly redried, allows the silica dessicant to again absorb moisture at a higher rate. When the Dessicant has lost its blue color, it absorbes moisture at a less efficient rate. The blue is restored by flipping up the outlet tabs on the back of the unit, and plugging it into the wall to engage the heating element. This product is made for small spaces, not to dehumidify your house. Main use is for gun safes, tool boxes etc.

Answer:	I'll answer this question like this: I am 6'5'' and weigh 280 lbs. This is the most comfortable mattress I have every slept on. Now with that said, it sleeps very warm. I've recently bought sheets with a higher thread count (1250 from 500) that are "cooling" and that has help tremendously. I would still recommend this mattress to anyone I knew.

Answer:	Actually the temp does have a bearing on the comfort indicator as amorina states. It will need to be a minimum of 20 degrees and between 50 and 70% humidity to indicate as comfortable. I agree with you that this is a little high and perhaps 18 would be ok. Other sources state that 40% humidity is ideal so who knows!I think just go with what feels right. In answer to your question though unfortunately the comfort range can not be reset or altered.

Answer:	In China. I bought 3 of them, but don't find them useful. The setting for humid, dry, comfort is inaccurate for a relativity level reading in a home environment. At least in the Midwest region. They say 49% is dry when in fact it's too much for a home to carry, at least in the winter colder temps.

Answer:	This is probably too late to be of use to the original poster, but maybe it will help someone. I purchased mine in March of '17 and the unit just died on me this past weekend, I was still using the original battery. I changed the battery and the thermometer was still dead, but that's less than $10 for nearly 2 years of service on a single battery.

Answer:	I would think so but you can go to their website and hit the contact button to ask. They are very responsive. Website is pureenrichment.com. The bulb has a 20,000 hour life so I would guess they last at least 5 years with normal usage. I wash the external large particle filter once per month and replace the whole filter unit every 6 months. I love these purifiers. We have 3 of them and I'm thinking of buying 2 more for the office.

Question:	Under my sink smells like mold, but i don't see anything... can your product , mold test kit, detect mold even if you don't see where it is
Answer:	It will grow mold if there's mold, but if you want to know what kind of mold, you have to send it away. For example, when I followed the directions and placed mine out in open, a little bit of mold started growing. We then knew there were mold spores in the area and it was slow growing mold, based of length of time and amount of mold present in petrie dish. If you want to know if it's the dangerous kind, etc., then you would have to send away. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Yes! I did 5 kits (outdoors, two bathrooms, garage, under the kitchen sink). Two of the tests (the well-ventilated bathroom and the kitchen sink) had no mold after 96 hours. The other three had mold of different amounts/types.

Answer:	Nathan, Thanks for the question. The Moisture Range on this Hand Held meter for CORN is 10 - 40%. However, the clear plastic funnel which is provided to assist with consistent filling of the test cell, will not work well on corn over say 25 - 30%. This is due to the lack of flowability in the higher moisture content. I would suggest that you still fill the funnel, but pour the sample back out the large end at just 1 - 2" above the test cell. EVERY TIME and at the same Rate. With this consistency, you would have much greater repeatability between different tests. Answer:	I find this unit noise compared to the MA25. This thing really needs a 4th speed. my results 3 feet away. Speed 1 - 35db, Speed 2 -44db, speed 3 - 48db. that said it does move a lot of air, you can clearly feel the breeze 15 feet away. If you have a larger room and don't mind the noise its fine. For smaller rooms go with the MA25 its nearly inaudible at lowest speed, very quiet at speed 2 and not bad at highest. It doesn't move nearly as much air so keep that in mind.
