3 best air purifier with bonus filters

Air purifiers with bonus filters are a popular choice for individuals looking to improve indoor air quality. These devices are related to HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) air purifiers and fall within the category of heating, cooling, and air quality appliances for the home and kitchen. Here is some information about air purifiers with bonus filters:

  1. HEPA Air Purification: Many air purifiers with bonus filters utilize HEPA technology. HEPA filters are highly effective at capturing small particles such as dust, pollen, pet dander, and even airborne bacteria and viruses. They are known for their efficiency in removing airborne pollutants, making them a top choice for allergy and asthma sufferers.

  2. Bonus Filters: The term "bonus filters" typically refers to the inclusion of extra filters or filter replacement sets when you purchase an air purifier. These bonus filters can extend the lifespan of the purifier and provide cost savings in the long run. Having extra filters on hand is convenient as it ensures continuous air purification without the need for immediate replacements.

  3. Improved Air Quality: Air purifiers with HEPA filters and bonus filters can significantly improve indoor air quality. They help remove allergens, smoke, odors, and other airborne particles, leading to a cleaner and healthier living environment. Some models may also incorporate additional filtration technologies like activated carbon filters to remove odors and chemicals.

  4. Room Size: When choosing an air purifier, it's essential to consider the size of the room where it will be used. Different models have varying coverage capacities, so selecting the right size is crucial to ensure effective air purification.

  5. Noise Level: The noise level of an air purifier can vary depending on the model and fan speed. Some models come with a "quiet mode" for use during sleep or in quiet environments, while others are designed to operate at a higher fan speed for faster air cleaning.

  6. Smart Features: Some modern air purifiers come with smart features such as Wi-Fi connectivity and mobile app control. These features allow you to monitor and control the purifier remotely, set schedules, and receive filter replacement reminders.

  7. Energy Efficiency: Consider the energy efficiency of the air purifier, as it will impact your electricity bills. Look for models with an ENERGY STAR certification, as they are designed to consume less energy while operating efficiently.

  8. Maintenance: Regular maintenance is essential to keep the air purifier operating optimally. This includes replacing filters as recommended by the manufacturer and cleaning the unit's exterior.

In summary, air purifiers with bonus filters, often featuring HEPA technology, are effective tools for improving indoor air quality. They can help remove allergens and other pollutants, making your home a healthier and more comfortable place to live. When selecting an air purifier, consider factors like room size, noise level, smart features, and energy efficiency to find the right fit for your needs.

User questions & answers

Question: which is better air320 or air
Answer: Just buy a HEPA filter double the size width wise, cut in half and tape down the cut side inside the unit. Works fine in the older model. The filter I buy is 16(L) x 25(w) x 1(d).
Question: Is it 120 V or 220 v
Answer: I just ordered two of the plasma wave 5500-2 . After reading the reviews that there’s no such thing as a washable carbon filter, I’m really disappointed and I’m tempted to return it before I even get it. I ordered it from Wayfare. Is there such a thing as washable carbon filters? Very misleading. I know you can’t wash the HEPA filter but as far as the carbon filter, that pisses me off. I think it’s an out right lie to buy the product.
Question: how does it do with odor
Answer: Most people don't realize this, but negative ions result in Ozone production much higher than is present even in outdoors rainfall. Ozone, i.e. negative ion production by air purifiers, is shown by extensive research by the NIH to be very harmful to people with respiratory issues, starting with asthma and all other worse conditions. Levels can become very high with usage in an indoors closed environment, and exacerbate respiratory conditions! California doesn't even allow the sale of purifiers that produce Ozone! Don't be fooled by terms like "plasmawave", etc. and realize that many air purifiers will not say the word Ozone. You will always see "negative ion" production that is Ozone producing. The negative ion, plasmawave, feature can be turned off or bypassed in many air purifiers, and after I learned about this, I never use this feature on my Winix 5300. You can use the negative ion feature on some purifiers, and program the feature to shut off and just ventilate your space for 2-3 hours to remove the Ozone before you return to the closed environment. Not all purifiers allow you to do this! Otherwise the Winix does a good job, but respiratory sufferers beware!
Question: Does this work for fire smoke? I live in los ang les and the air quality is really bad from the surrounded fires
Answer: The 5500–2 has a remote control and a washable carbon filter that must be cleaned every 3 months and replaced after a year. Otherwise they are identical. Another unit with a remote control is Winix C535.

User questions & answers

Question: Is this good for smokers
Answer: The HEPA filter will remove quite a bit of smoke but it won't last near as long in a smoky environment, Using the ionizer might be a bad idea for smokers. The ionizer will change the smoke into a substance that will stick to everything more vigorously than usual. The odor from the remnants of ionized smoke is sticky and more pungent after it has collected on nearby objects over time, and it's MUCH harder to wipe away.
Question: how often do you have to change the filter
Answer: We live in rural northern Alabama where there is a lot of pollen and cotton/corn fields; 6 to 7 months is the maximum we can go on a single filter. We use the HAPF300AP-U4 filters which claim to last 12 months but air flow is significantly reduced by 6 months; going any longer would probably put an unnecessary strain on the motor and shorten the life of the purifier. My children have severe allergies; so we immediately know when the filters need to be changed.
Question: Would this be good in an office enviroment to put on my desk to eliminate cologne and perfume smells
Answer: I realize this question is a couple of years old, but for other potential buyers--I've been running this on my desk on high for over a year and have never had any comments or complaints from callers. It's next to my laptop and appx 1.5-2' from me, and I've never had any issues. I don't have issues with strong colognes or perfumes, but the air in my home office is always noticeably fresher than the air in the rest of my home and I have open windows/moderate-heavy pollen most of the year. (I'm here now for unit #2.)
Question: Does this model come with it's first filter, or do I have to purchase seperately
Answer: Yes, it does come with its own HEPA filter. However, when I replace mine I just buy one of those HVAC home 12 by 25inch pleated filters from Home Depot to replace them with. They are much cheaper and do a good job.
