Question:	can't the line kit be extended or 16 foot max
Answer:	I'm an amateur, but handy, and I just finished installing one today. First to answer some questions below: the unit comes pre-charged, there's no need for the installer to add freon. However it is necessary to vacuum the lines before you release the freon. I bought a vacuum and a set of gauges for less than $100. My son and my brother may be installing one of these, so we'll be able to use that equipment for them too. For me the hardest part was drilling a hole through the wall. I mounted the indoor unit on a cement block wall, and it took a long time to drill a two and a half inch hole through that wall. I did everything myself, the only time I needed any help was when I had my wife keep tension on the wires outside as I lifted the indoor unit up to the wall. The copper tubing was about 18 in too long for my setup, so I borrowed a flaring tool and cut and flared the tubing to fit. Flaring tools are cheap if you can't find a friend to borrow one from. Someone recommended to me using Nylog Blue to seal the tubing connections, so I did. Be prepared for a surprise when you remove the plugs from the copper lines coming out of the indoor unit. They are loaded with nitrogen and as you release the plug it will shoot several feet away from the pressure. Don't stand in front of it! My first instinct was, oh no! I just released the freon. But of course the freon is only in the outdoor unit. Copper tubing can be kinked, but if you're reasonably careful with it you won't have any problems. Just don't try to make any sharp bends. It was a fairly large project, but nothing too challenging. Just take care and read the step by step instructions carefully. Someone here said you need a nitrogen tank, but that's not mentioned anywhere in the instructions. It may be something that professionals do to pressure test, but the instructions say to let the freon itself do your pressure testing. The downside is that if you actually have a leak you'll lose freon, but a leak is not very likely. It works! My garage is getting cool.
Question:	It says it "comes with precharged for line set lengths between 10'~25'" how do you order different lenghts when ordering through amazon
Answer:	There is no need to open it to get at the filter. There is a little notch in the middle of the air conditioner just below the vents that the cold air comes out of. Take hold of it with both hands and slide it up and out. It will come out.
Question:	Are there any parts that we would need to purchase that doesn't come with the system
Answer:	I would check the depth of your old wall sleeve first.........mine wasn't deep enough (17.3 inch) and this unit is 20.3 inch deep. So mine wouldn't fit flush into the wall sleeve. I have about 2 inchs protruding out from the inside wall.......but with the plastic molding installed around it still looked ok. So far the only thing I don't like about this air conditioner is the remote.....the function buttons printed on it are very hard to see

Question:	Can this be used to clean, disinfect and deodorize a window a/c
Answer:	I removed two different tubes from cans of WD40 and tried to get them into the nozzle of the Foam Blaster just to answer this question but they wouldn't fit, so not sure if you can find one small enough to work in these cans. That being said, I don't think you will really need to. When I pulled my indoor coil out I was able to get the spray into the vast majority of the coil fin spaces. Once the spray gets onto the fins it expands into a foam that migrates to the hard to reach places, as long as you get within a couple inches to those hard to actually spray onto places. This foam cleaner worked very well for me but I did need to do a second treatment because our coil had become very dirty as well as had some cat hair in it due to a filter being left off for a couple weeks because the stores were completely out of our size filters.

(Mostly the evacuation and charging process, which needs to be done precisely or component failure could occur)

Question:	Can I cut this for custom fit
Answer:	There are two ways to look at: A. Empirically- There is a tangible symptom in your home such as bad smell or a person sensitive to your home’s atmosphere. Install product, remove source of toxicity such as moldy objects in basement or having duct work cleaned. Then see if the problem goes away. See if people are less sick. B. Scientifically measurable. Purchase a suite of lab tests for biological hazards such as for mold to determine a current baseline of toxicity. Install, product and redo test. My understanding is that this light is like powerful sunlight that damages living cells and viruses. If your problem is something else, this won’t do much. I believe my house had multiple problems and that this UV light did not eliminate the problem alone or instantly, but as I cleaned my furnace, ductwork and installed this light, the air quality in my home improved a great deal. I recommend the use of this product in conjunction with resolution of anything that might be causing air quality issues. Also HEPA filters may help.
Question:	I need to attach a mini split to a pad like this on my garage roof. Can I screw or bolt the mini split to this pad
Answer:	The first answer about cold side of the coil states that the bulbs are UVA. The seller states that they are UVC. Which is it? Better be UVC!

Question:	How does this install in your system? does it go in the furnace on the ac coil
Answer:	I think I put about 250 pounds on it without any problem, and could likely take another 100 or so more. But it really was just a question of looking nice. For strength it would likely be better to run a couple of 4x4s perpendicular to the roof joints. That would not only spread the weight out better, but also raise it up more. But the Diversitech pad looks much more professional, clean, and very stable.
Question:	Can you install this outdoors in a packaged unit
Answer:	Hard to say. To try it, I put 2x4s under the far edges and stood on it, so it took about 200 lbs without a problem. That was good enough for me. The bottom is a criss cross of support hatching square channels and is not a solid surface like the top is, but it can hold a lot of weight. But I never tried more and risk harming it.

Answer:	It's plastic, don't place anything hot on it, it will melt.
Question:	Does the carbon last and never have to be replaced
Answer:	It's 32 by 32. Measure your compressor and there is your answer.

Answer:	I have read the booklet that came with the unit and I looked at the unit as well no btu number listed. Sorry. I can tell you the maximum wattage is 1500 watts. I hope in some way that information helps you.
Question:	Can I connect a thermostat to this unit instead of the remote
Answer:	I use 2 in a space about the size of a single car garage, my group of old ladies play cards, have meals. Temps in the 35-45 range. If you were working you would only need 1. Good luck.
