Answer:	I am not aware of any strap. We have had two on two chairs for almost a year and they do not stay in place at all. I have washed each one once. They look great, but they do not stay in place.

Answer:	I did not care for the cover. You can use it, but the one I had did not fit very well and would not stay tucked in. I tossed it.

Now I have a smaller scale recliner and the regular cover I originally ordered was way too big. This one fits better but snug in some areas as it was made for a lift chair and mine isn't one. Still happy with it though. .
